Unfortunately, Shiboboleth has a way of not fitting the screen correctly when opening. I always have to maximize the window in order to get to e.g. the space bar and the other lower keys. Can be something done about this? Besides that: Nice tool, which I'd like to have included in L4 as well!

What screen resolution are you running? You might try bumping that up a bit and see if you can't still read your other applications well enough.
I'm running 1280x800, which is the highest resolution available for my 15" screen, so there's not much I can do here. Of course, this is not a major bug - I was just wondering whether this is normal program behaviour, since I haven't experienced this with any other program.

I'm not sure what is involved in tweaking an application for different resolutions, but I'll ask the developers to take a look. Thanks for reporting this!

Maybe someday. Shibboleth was originally designed as an internal tool to help our contractors key in books, so there wasn't a need at that time to think about multiple platforms and so on. We've at least toyed with the idea of incorporating something like Shibboleth into future versions of Logos Bible Software, which would include the Mac.
Will it help me enter Hebrew text into Microsoft Word? I currently use the Logos Hebrew Keyboard layout to type it in. Can it be integrated as an input method?
The Hebrew keyboard layout in Shibboleth is the same as the layout in the Logos Hebrew keyboard. In addition to a visual keyboard that helps you find the characters, there are different character palettes to choose from to help you locate the correct marks - one that is organized alphabetically, and another that is organized by shape to help folk who don't know the Hebrew alphabet to correctly choose between glyphs that are very similar. Try it out.

I took my time and played with it for a while. Now after almost a month, I can safely say that I love it. I love the addition of cuneiform script I love the fact that I don't need to delete the xml tags every time I copy. I just love this app. Thank you!

1) Only the Tiberian Vowel system is used with both Aramaic and Hebrew. It would be awesome if Shibboleth added the Babylonian supralinear system. (1b. Let's be honest. "Hebrew" is just the Aramaic block script. It would be pretty neat to have some of the paleo Hebrew scripts available).
2) The Hieroglyph editor is a bit of a mess. It would be nice to be able to type in some of the "letters" and have their corresponding sign appear a la JSesh (e.g., "i" and the flowering reed would appear). At the moment it is way to clumsy to be of any use (at least put it in Gardiner's order to have some sanity!).

I was thinking we had a paleo-Hebrew script though I can't offhand think of what it is if we do have one. Also, thinking I might be able to find a resource with it, I was looking at a resource labelled "1Q3paleoLeviticus-Numbers", but it is in the square script. That's a pity.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that if we had a paleo-Hebrew font we could then simply type in the text then format it using the paleo-Hebrew font.

I'd be happy to add this as soon as there is a Unicode Hebrew font that we can distribute that includes these marks. I haven't managed to find one yet. (In my opinion, this set of marks really needs to get its own set of Unicode values assigned to it rather than trying to overload the existing vowel marks, but if we had a good font that used the existing vowels, I'd support it as a stop-gap).
Likewise for paleo-Hebrew. I've found a couple of these fonts on the web, but haven't heard back from the owners about distribution permission yet. We have a guy in house who wanted to make one of these fonts, but I haven't heard how he's progressing.

The Unicode values for Hieroglyphs are in Gardiner's order. If you hover your cursor over the first character, you'll see the Unicode value (13000), but the hover also shows the name of the character, which is simply its Gardiner value (zero-padded), A001. It'd be nice to be able to search the names and values in the character lists, or just jump to a section by typing in a Gardiner number in a find box, but I don't know how much code is involved in supporting that. (The Cuneiform scripts would also benefit greatly from better navigation/find features for the character lists.) I'll keep it in mind for the next Shibboleth update and see what the developers think then.

That is putting it very mildly. If one is able to search a certain phonetic value and get its graphic representations (say you search ka and get the ka1 ka2 signs etc) Shibboleth will become a very popular tool for Assyriologists.
