Anchor Yale Bible commentary series - pre-pub price again?

G'day fellow L4 enthusiasts...

I've only been using L4 since just before Christmas but I have noticed that even when things come off pre-pub, they can sometimes go on sale at near pre-pub prices. eg. NICOT & NICNT - that is how I picked them up.

I was not around when AYB was on pre-pub...so 2 questions.

1. How much was AYB on pre-pub?

2. Have there been any specials since on this series, or I guess if anyone knows of any coming up.

I purchased the Anchor Yale Bible (84 vols.) at PrePub for $1499.95 in 2009. I have not seen it on sale since.

Ouch! I had hoped it was far lower, so that I could hope for a good sale price near it at some point. I was also hoping for a lot of 'Likes' during the Facebook sale. At 50% I would probably have jumped at it, but I guess there was never any chance it'd go for that, no matter how many 'Likes' we could muster.

I have not seen it on sale since.

I believe it's usually possible to get about 10% off from a sales rep. At least I've been offered that a couple of times, but I want and need more.

Ouch !, indeed (I got it), but don't expect to find the price anywhere close to this on any sale since there have been three volumes added to the collection since then.

There's still only 84 vols in the collection. And I got Mark II an Nahum at Christmas.

Actually there are 87 - Nahum, Mark 8-16, Proverbs 10-31 are sold separately.

Exactly. They're sold separately. So there's not 87 vols in the collection. It's 84, just as in prepub.
