Yes, they treat their Corpsmen like royalty. That is the most important man in the squad. Many, many years ago I read a little book called "Above and Beyond". It contained the Medal of Honor Citations of Navy and Marine Corp recipients from WW II and Korea. A very high percentage of those were USN Corpsmen. They go into combat without any weapon and risk their lives to rescue wounded warriors. Many times those they rescue will even be enemy soldiers.
I have nothing but respect for these brave men and women.
