These files are not supported in Logos 4.

Logos 4.3 (currently in beta testing) brings the Personal Book feature back, but the books need to be recompiled into a new format. Thus, you would need to have the source documents for each of these books and recompile them (with the beta) in order to use them.

We plan to add ways to share Personal Books in a future version of Logos 4.

And here I thought sharing was coming at the end of this beta...That's OK thought, the PBB will be a BIG step forward!

While you asked about Logos 4... I feel compelled to remind that all of the PBB's on my site still work quite well in L3.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

It would be pretty awesome if Logos developed a way to turn old PBBs into plain txt documents. I don't know how difficult that would be but for those who lost the original files it would be a way to not have to start from the beginning, though formatting changes would have to be made.

Hi Thomas (et. al.)  I searched the forums as I have now upgraded to a new laptop and I didn't port over my L3 installation.  But, now, of course, I would like some of my old L3 PBBs.  Since this is an old thread - has progress been made and can we now read the older PBB's?

    thanks,

    Chris.

There is no plan to port the old PBs to L4. The Individuals who made the PBs need to convert and recompile the source to make them L4 accessible.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Looking at => http://www.stilltruth.com/topics/docx noticed 3 resources with links to pages with docx files, which can be used in Logos 4.

Also, Files forum has many docx files available.

Observation: Libronix 3 and Logos 4 can peacefully coexist on Windows 7 (can be used at same time); each installation has their own resource files.

Option: can install Libronix 3.0g on Windows 7 => Download the Latest Version (3.0g)  then install patch for Internet Explorer 9 => Libronix and Internet Explorer 9

    Keep Smiling [:)]

Thanks for answering MJ and KS4J.

As you noted the framework is in place to handle the files - there is still some reluctance on the part of (most of ) the compilers to go full blast on the stilltruth site.  Most of us are waiting to see what exactly Logos will bring out with the PB "store" they had talked about in the past.

That is still actively being developed AFAIK - so aside from a few files we wait.  L3 remains your best bet for the massive store of available PBBs.

Logos has NOT done a good job on allowing users to simply read or import legacy pbb files.

I would put it stronger. Many customers bought the Personal Book Builder in L3. This is the only way someone has actually lost Logos resources that I am aware of.

    Agreed.

But users generally don't learn from the past; they're a happy go lucky group.

Logos6 won't likely use Logos4 PBs if history is any instructor. I suspect that given the quickness of the platform shifts and the need to dummy-down the PB functionality with each iteration.

I lost a lot of my data in my notes.  Because Logos decided not to have tables in L4, I lost a good number of my notes because they are no longer readable.  Because L4 didn't have the exact same icon colors, The kind folks at Logos decided to change the color of my notes to yellow.  Now I do not know what is in the note by looking at the color.  There was a lot of personal information that was not transferred over to L4!!!!!!
