Please Note: Important Change to Synchronization coming for Notes*, custom Highlighting styles*, Favorites, and some Preferences**
When 4.5 Beta 1 is released, Logos 4 will be using the new Sync v2 service to synchronize your Notes*, custom Highlighting styles*, Favorites, and some Preferences**. This is similar to the change to Sync v2 for Copy Bible Verses during the 4.3 Beta.
This change will affect those users who log in under the same account on two computers, where one is running the stable 4.3 version and the other is running the 4.5 Beta:
*IMPORTANT: The 4.5 Beta will include major improvements to how Notes and Highlighting are saved and how they reference custom styles. More information about this will be provided prior to release. Due to these improvements, and the Sync v2 changes, the usual warnings about participating in Logos 4 Beta testing are especially important to consider.
**Sync v2 for certain Preferences, such as SavedResourcePosition, will improve syncing of these values with mobile clients.
Sounds great, but what about 4.4? Are we skipping that release?
“... every day in which I do not penetrate more deeply into the knowledge of God’s Word in Holy Scripture is a lost day for me. I can only move forward with certainty upon the firm ground of the Word of God.”
In another thread, Melissa said that the next Beta will be 4.5. Her language leaves open the possibility that there will be a 4.4 without a beta. I have NO knowledge of this to be true - it is purely speculation.

I'll take the speculation Alabama, I was pondering the same question; at least that helps my little brain make sense of it.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
If there is no version 4.4 for testing, should beta testers change to the stable channel to participate from the 4.4 version?
Just to clarify, there will not be a version 4.4, we are going straight to 4.5.

Looking at Logos 4 Mac Release history => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Release_Notes_and_History noticed 4.1 was skipped (4.0a, 4.0b, 4.2a, 4.2b, 4.3).

The stuff we're putting into the next version is so cool that we're skipping a number.

Great, now my heart is racing from anticipation.
And.... forgive me for asking the question that is on everyone's mind....

Wonder if related to Perseus collection integration ? Also wonder about mobile sync ? for "miles ahead" experience this year
Likewise waiting with Beta baited, bated breath.

Cryogenic number leaps? Oooh, maybe the inclusion of a cryo-arithmetic engine...!

We considered it, but we weren't sure how many of our users would have computers that could get up to the required 88 MPH to use it.

Thomas Black:I've got a Dellorian.
Why does that not surprise me. Thomas you absolutely rock! Did you ever get your VFFs? I remember you had some injuries you were dealing with but I didn't know if you joined our cult or not...
So I'm guessing where Logos 4.5 is going it won't need roads!
Done with the references now. I'm going to make like a tree and get out of here...

Its new mission is to boldly go (go boldly?) where no Bible study software has gone before!
