Are there any plans for a 'Smooth Scrolling' experience for book reading?I'd also like smooth scrolling, like we get on "real" logos. It just seems intuitive to me to scroll up and down a page as Logos-PC, MS-Word, web browsers do. Having to use left or right flicks is a diiferent operation, which is inconvenient.
Much worse is that I lose context - if I flick to the next mini-page then I can't see the earlier bit of the sentance, can't look back to the start of the paragprah, etc. I'm using a phone for this so I only see a couple of paragraphs at a time.
Please let's have smooth scrolling, even if it's only an option.

Just wanted to chime in here as well; I've been using Logos for my PC and want to start using it more on my Android, but the lack of scrolling has been a big turn off. I remember years ago seeing this discussion over on the Olivetree forums as Windows mobile customers were upset that iphones had scrolling ...now all platforms seem to have it with that app.
I recognize that this takes time to develop, and I hope that it is in the works as I believe it will greatly increase the usability of this program. Aside from this I have few complaints about your software; Thanks for the great program Logos!
Smooth Scrolling
It would certainly be on my wish list too. The frustration I find is when a passage falls between two 'pages' making it necessary to flick between the two, rather than merely positioning the text by scrolling.
I'm not familiar with Olivetree but found Mantis. I use this for study groups and church - the scrolling is superb, with a complete chapter available. It also has a bonus of 'auto scroll' with adjustable speed which is fun to use when following the reading of a large portion of scripture.
Maybe one day Logos will catch up. At present the issues with highlighting and notes seem to be a priority.
Hello
I don't know if this feature is big enough to Qualify for the "Future Goals" listed in Frequently Asked Questions post, thus this one

Hi Douglas,
I will write up an inquiry case for your suggestion and forward it to our Development department. Thanks!

Hello,
I just want to be clear - an inquiry case is merely a suggestion to Development. Some suggestions are considered, some are denied, and some are put on hold for future development. I don't want anyone to misconstrue what I've said. The most accurate way I can put this is I don't know what the future holds on smooth scrolling.
Until Logos implements scrolling, one can just jump to the Tecarta Android App which does have variable speed, automatic scrolling to match the speed of the readers in Church or Bible Studies. Then pages do not have to be turned to keep up.
I've found that until Logos gets all its features in place for the Kindle Fire Android App I've learned to use online mass resources in Logos especailly the NET Bible and 3 Dictionaries, offline variable scrolling in Tecarta and offline personal notes (pasted on their web site and synced to the android app), searches, Bible subjects and Strong's numbers in AcroBible. In the Kindle Fire one can keep all three apps open and flip between them rapidly. Its possible this will be required for a long time into the future.
I rarely use my Logos on my PC anymore. Its all now Kindle Fire action.
Derek,
I haven't heard anything new about the status of this feature request, which means the feature probably isn't planned for the near term.
