How to know when a newer / updated version is available?

I presently run Pre-Release Alpha 2 (4.0.3.2697) but in the menu there is no "check for updates" or something.

Please advise.

Thanks!

I believe every time you start it up, it will automatically check for updates.  If you don't see the small Logos symbol in the upper right, that means there is nothing to download, update, or index.

As I recall from the past, it checks once a day automatically unless you select "update now". this is to spread the load on the server rather then having everyone download at the same time.

Phil, the Windows Beta checked every time you started up.  Then they changed it to once a day for production.  I assume the Mac Beta is set for every time it starts, as well.

FYI, Manuel, this forum is for the Mac Logos v1.  If you are using the v4 alpha, you get more interaction by posting here in the Mac Beta forum:
