What Author/Book do you think has the best info on this topic
I'll bump this back up.
A simple word has a lot of different applications ... depends on what direction you're trying to go?
Assuming you don't want to do a simple search, narrowing it down would define which of your collections you'd want.
My most recent contact with it was in the Targums and how calculated (first fruits subtraction, etc).
I'd say Malachi.
I like the topical Bibles as starting pointers into Scripture for a topic like this. Here's what New Naves has on it:TITHES. Paid by Abraham to Melchizedek, Gen. 14:20; Heb. 7:2–6. Jacob vows a tenth of all his property to God, Gen. 28:22. Mosaic laws instituting, Lev. 27:30–33; Num. 18:21–24; Deut. 12:6, 7, 17, 19; 14:22–29; 26:12–15. Customs relating to, Neh. 10:37, 38; Amos 4:4; Heb. 7:5–9. Tithe of tithes for priests, Num. 18:26; Neh. 10:38. Stored in the temple, Neh. 10:38, 39; 12:44; 13:5, 12; 2 Chr. 31:11, 12; Mal. 3:10. Payment of, resumed in Hezekiah’s reign, 2 Chr. 31:5–10. Under Nehemiah, Neh. 13:12. Withheld, Neh. 13:10; Mal. 3:8. Customary in later times, Matt. 23:23; Luke 11:42; 18:12. Observed by idolaters, Amos 4:4, 5. See Beneficence; Giving; Liberality; Tax.
When I cross reference what this one has with its other references (bold, at end) & with what the other topical Bibles offer, I end up with a very good starting point for my own study.
Blessings on your study!
