I am attempting to set up a specific reading plan, Proverbs one chapter per day for a year. The template does not seem to allow for this specific set-up. Can anyone assist with this?
could it be that there are 31 chapters? not enough to cover a year
Gary - Are you trying to read "proverbs 5" on May 5th, or do you not care which chapter you read on any given day? If it is the latter, then you will just need to repeat the pattern over again.

Gary - Maybe someone else will have a suggestion, but you can try this:
NOTE: 372 sessions is obviously more than 1 year. If you want to read whole chapters, 365 is not evenly divisible by 31 chapters in proverbs.
thanks for this (even though it was several months ago) it worked.
i am trying to figure out how to make a reading plan to read the same two verses each day: Philippians 4:8-9. I can't seem to get it figured out, nor find it on forums. Any ideas you can share or point me to?

Personally like reading few more verses: Philippians 4:4-9 so created a reading plan using desired verse range and repetitions along with choosing verses per session:

ok, great, I will set this up.
Similar to the other reading plans in this thread, I am trying to set up a plan to read all of John's epistles, once a day for 30 days. This is how I set it up:
1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn, 1Jn, 2Jn, 3Jn
every day
30 sessions (I also tried it with 132 verses)
My problem is that it gives 1 Jn 1-5 for the first day; 2 Jn, 3 Jn, 1 Jn 1-5 for days 2-29; and 2 Jn, 3 Jn, 1 Jn 1-5, 2 Jn, 3 Jn for day 30.
Any ideas?
Joshua Coady:Any ideas?
Wonder about using two reading plans ? (with 30 sessions for each plan)
1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn,1Jn
2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn,2Jn-3Jn
Alternative idea is using one of the above reading plans, marking done after reading all of John's Epistles each day.
Note: using Logos 4.5b Beta 7, was able to replicate quirkiness of first day having 1 Jn (without 2Jn and 3Jn) and last day having 2Jn and 3Jn twice.
1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn,1Jn-3Jn
I did some testing. 1 Jn has 105 verses. Integer divisors are 1, 3, 5, 7, 15, 21, 35, and 105. I set up a reading plan with just 1Jn (no repeating or anything). Setting it to 1 verse per session yields 105 sessions as expected, but setting to 3 gives 4 verses on session 1 instead of the expected 3. Likewise, setting to 5 gives 4 verses, 7 gives 10, 15 gives 16, 21 gives 16, 35 gives 27, and 105 gives 1.
So, it works fine doing 1 verse per day or all verses in a single day (though not much usefulness in a single day reading plan), but otherwise does not split verses evenly--even when there should be no rounding issues.
I get the same results on both Win7 and OSX.
Doing 1 Jn and 2Jn,3Jn in separate plans works as you suggested, but moving on to the next item in my batch--Galatians--it doesnt work:
Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal, Gal
for 30 sessions
Day 1 has Gal 1-5 and day 30 has Gal 6, Gal 1-6 while the intervening days have Gal 6, Gal 1-5.
This worked properly last summer when I did my last batch of plans. (Well, I dont know about Galatians because I didnt try it then, but 1/2/3Jn worked, as did Phil, James, John 1-6, and a couple others.)
Joshua Coady:but moving on to the next item in my batch--Galatians--it doesnt work:
Concur (and can replicate using Logos 4.5b Beta 7), for passage, used:
Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga,Ga
along with 30 sessions. Day 1 has Gal 1-5. Changing to verses per session: tried 149 through 164, yet Day 1 would not change.
By the way, Logos 4 has Bible Book abbreviations => http://www.logos.com/support/windows/L4/abbreviations

Any news on if/when this bug will be fixed?
Joshua Coady:Any news on if/when this bug will be fixed?
No news plus verified Logos 5.1 RC 3 on OS X 10.8.4 still has 5 chapters on first day with 7 chapters on the last day:
Thanks for checking!!
It surely is an annoyance, but I dont let it get me down. Glad to have a tool like Logos even if it only works 97% of the way I want it to
Fixed *finally* in L6, just use the handy new break on chapter feature. Looks like there are several other new reading plan features in L6 that will come in handy as well. Thanks!!
