Version 0.9.2 of both the Logos Bible Software and Vyrso apps have been released to the Android Market.

If you have 0.9.2 beta installed, please install 0.9.2 from the market.

Logos: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.logos.androidlogos

Vyrso: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.logos.androidvyrso

We have also submitted 0.9.2 to the Amazon Appstore, and they will be available there once approved.

If you do not have access to the app in your market, you may temporarily download it from these links: Logos | Vyrso. Important notice for Kindle Fire users: If you directly install any app (including ours) as a non-market application and later decide to install from the amazon market, be sure to uninstall it first. There is currently a bug in the Kindle Fire's marketplace which can cause future market app installations to fail if you don't.

New

  • Basic/Bible Search accessible by the menu, by long-pressing on a word, or by swiping up in a bible
  • Basic Search for citations with angled brackets, e.g <Jn 3:16>
  • Proclaim Signals can be received within range of an on-air presentation
  • In-app store accessible by the cart icon on the library
  • App Settings available from any menu
  • (Vyrso-only) Header styles and themes

Improved

  • Support for Kindle Fire
  • Comparison guide now shows the active bible’s text
  • Added home page cover images
  • Added support for zooming/scrolling in news item web views
  • Handling of links to unlicensed resources

Fixed

  • Library cover images flicker while updating/scrolling
  • Certain web links failing
  • Online keylinks failing
  • Various bug fixes and improvements

Known Issues

  • Search is online-only (for now)
  • Clicking search results sometimes hangs the app for several seconds
  • Calendar signal events do not properly populate all the calendar fields on some devices (particularly 3.0+)
  • Cannot select signals with the trackball
  • Signals are not fully themed in low-light mode
  • Some Logos4Reference signals are not fully supported
  • Popups and menus do not display Greek and Hebrew correctly
  • Right-to-left text (especially Hebrew) does not display correctly
  • Poor network connection may show an error message
  • Network connections from behind a login page are not supported (e.g. a hotel or other hotspot that requires login)
  • The app will crash if there is no SD card
  • Some apocryphal books cannot be navigated to through the verse picker

Let's see if I understand correctly

  1. I don't have access to the exegetic guide yet
  2. The Presentation option applies to Proclaim

It's working well for me ... but I am still super-novice to the Kindle Fire (or any touchscreen app)

Can you guys submit the android app to the Barnes and noble store? Or it's  too much trouble? I know I can sideload and install Logos but would like a native app with an icon on my home screen . Thanks

Before I installed this update on my Kindle Fire the popups properly showed English. Now they display gobbledygook. Does anyone else see similar oddness?

There's a thread with the word "garbled" in it!
