Logos 4.5 available
Logos 4.5 is now available via automatic updates.
The biggest change is that Notes and Highlighting have been unified. Each highlight is now backed by a note in one of your Notes Documents; from there you can change the highlighting style, add or remove the icon that shows next to the highlight in the resource, and even add textual notes to that highlight in your Notes Document. When you upgrade, you'll get new Notes Documents for your existing highlights (one per highlighting palette); you can now turn sets of highlights on or off by (un)checking that Notes Document in the visual filter menu for a resource. Logos 4.5 will also sync notes and highlights with the upcoming v2.0 of the iOS app (keep an eye on the iPhone/iPad forum for an announcement of when that's available in the App Store).
We've also improved Personal Book Builder and added the ability to print footnotes (at the bottom of a page) when printing a Logos resource.

To install the update, enter "update now" into the Logos 4 command box.

Updated mine Webroot ANTIVIRUS SAYS IT CONTAINS MALWARE LOGOS WON"T RESTART>Careful. W32 Heur or some such thing. Didn't give me time to read the message. Looks as though the antivirus has to be shut down to install. Unfortunately Logos just starts and shuts down immediately now.

You should be able to designate Logos in a 'white list' or 'known safe' list, or something like that. Check with your anit-virus for how to do this. You may also want to report this to your anti-virus company as a false positive.

Logos and the updater are listed as safe. yI see no way to install except by turning it off. Are you sure the update is absoutely safe? This av is super sensitive and fast. It found a virus (that hijacked my address list and email account) missed by Norton, Trend, and Panda. Not exactly sure how to get Logos going again. I' m going to try running the updater again. I won't install the update on my main computer.

That is the problem as it will also give more false positives than a conservative AV suite, based on patterns that indicate viral activity but are not an actual virus signature. So you have nominate safe programs or locations, and I've not had any actual virus issues with any Logos executable.

You can also try to repair the program in Control Panel >> Programs and Features. Right click Logos 4 and select Repair.
EDIT: if the exe was disabled you might be able to restore it from the "Virus Vault" of your AV suite.

Thanks repair worked fine. I had to turn off the AV because it just blocked the program again. It then proceeded to find it on a scan in logos/docs/contract.dll. I told it to allow operation and Logos works fine again.

I have done the upgrade and the version says 4.5 but I do not see this note file created when I highlight a verse.

Paul - Are you having troubles similar to other users or are you just asking where the note file is kept?
Under File:Open - type "notes". This will show you all your note files. You should have one for every palette you have used.
