Slowest. Download. Ever. But like Graham. It finally did download. 

I was able to run a few test syncing between (new) Vyrso, Logos on iPad and Logos 4.5a Beta 2 (4.51.0.1906). Yippee! Thinks working fine so far.

I was able to get it to download via iTunes after many attempts. I then sync'd the iPad.

I was debating whether or not to try it after reading about all the problems but I just downloaded it to iTunes and then synced it with my iPad and iPod Touch with no problems. Maybe I just timed it right or things are working now. I hope the problems are behind us.

Finally got the app update to download to my iPhone.

What is everybody seeing as far as sync time between?  It is not happening automatically for me when I click the sync button. It seems that I have to restart the app and/or desktop program before it will EVENTUALLY sync. Is there a way to force a sync on the app without closing the app down and restarting it?

One test I created two highlights on my iPad, got them to sync successfully to the desktop and then I removed both from the iPad. One eventually deleted from the desktop but one actually showed back up on the iPad again instead of deleting from the desktop.

Any ideas?

Ed - I am not sure what we should/can expect at this point. What I can tell you is that all of my highlights from the last several days HAVE synced... but not right away. In earlier beta testing the sync was near instantaneous. I have not heard what to expect. It may be that they are still getting things up and going (I hope so).

I am not fully sure of your question... Are you talking about the mobile app? I don't think that is the problem - I think if you are connected to the internet, the highlight info should be sent out... it just takes a while to appear on the desktop.

At this point I am using the app freely, but taking it easy. I am using either my desktop or my mobile app until it syncs. Besides sync time, it seems to be working pretty well though.

This is interesting, and I'm not smart enough to understand it all. I tried to download both Vyrso and Logos a couple hours ago. Got an error message when I attempted to "download all" and no download for any of the four apps needing to be updated. Tried simply downloading one at a time. Vyrso and the other two downloaded, no problem; I have Vyrso 2.0.2 now. However, Logos would stop with an iTunes error message. I currently have 2.0.1 installed. Now when I check the iTunes store for Logos, only 2.0.1 is showing ... there is no 2.0.2. So, I bring this up not knowing whose issue it is ... Logos or Apple?

Regardless, I do appreciate Dave and company going the extra mile to get this update on the street so quickly in the middle of a move across country. We so appreciate your dedication folks! Smile

Bruce,

Same thing for me - the Logos update stopped showing up in my updates screen. This continues to be an Apple issue. If you search the App store for Logos, you should be able to update directly from the app screen.

Chris: Thx for heads up. Tried it and  the iPhone app store showed 2.0.2. Great! (I thought). When I went to download it, app store then showed that I was up to date with 2.0.1! Oh well; I'll wait awhile and work on the laptop. All I can do is chuckle at this point; technology is great (usually!). Wink

I added a note w/ highlight to a book on my iPad2 using the logos app version 2.0.2. I go and view on my Macbook Pro using version 4.50.0.1889 and the note is not there (I waited a good couple of minutes before checking and even clicked the sync button in the toolbar). I view the same book on my iPhone 4 using logos app version 2.0.2, the note doesn't show there either. 

Only after I force exit the app on my iPad2 and restart it and then go to the desktop program on my macbook pro and hit the sync button does it show up. I also had to force exit the app on my iPhone 4 and restart it for the note to show up their.

Any Time that you have an issue of downloading an app from Itunes... and something goes wrong, it is 100% of the time an ITunes issue as apple does not allow anyone else to mess with the Itunes store... ITunes is just having a very bad day.

Took about 6 tries and a couple of hard restarts but Logos finally downloaded and works amazingly! Notes, highlights, the whole shebang. Incredible. 

Vyrso is another story. Took the same number of tries, but it crashes still. 

So - Logos running amazingly, Vyrso still unusable.

go to Vyrso and look at the version number and I Highly suspect that it did not update... the Vyrso app is very similar to the logos app, so if one works they both should work... The app store has been having a lot of problems today and has not always downloaded what it was supposed too...
