Doesn't sound right to me either. Unfortunately we don't have a way to see what is coming in a download.
Perseus Deleted?

I recently called customer service and had them re-lock The Perseus collection from my account. Today the lock was finalized and the resources have been taken away. However, I restarted Logos and it began to re-download what I think is the Perseus resources (over 1GB file). Is this normal after having a collection of this size re-locked? What are your thoughts?
Thanks

I ended up letting the download complete (1.78GB), restarted logos as prompted and nothing was added. I closed the program and restated to see if it would download again and nothing happened. I guess it was a mystery download of nothing. Lol

If have diagnostic logging enabled, Logos4.log file shows the file names queued to download.
Concur with suggestion to contact Logos => http://www.logos.com/about/contact
Workaround: cancel download and change program settings "Automatically Download Updates" to No.

I suspect there's a bug in the last update. I have exactly the same problem with another resource. I forgot to cancel a prepub in January, so I returned it later. It took a couple of days, but it did finally disappear from the Library. Then, two days ago, it suddenly downloaded again. It doesn't index (naturally) -- and, yes, I've gone through 1,5 (or is it 2,5?) indexing cycles since -- but it's sitting there in my Downloaded folder:
Are you on Mac or PC?
Btw, can anyone tell me why on earth the Indexer keeps using about 0,5% of the processor even when it's been paused for almost an hour? There's a lot of hard drive activity going on as well, though I can't say for sure that's the Indexer's fault.

Likely reason is that it keeps checking the time elapsed...

I got a 24 MB download of Hidden resources where nothing happened afterward. I've added this thread to my report at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/45015.aspx

It needs 0,5% for that? It sure sounds like it's doing more (I have a very audible hard drive).

Thanks. Saves me from writing a bug report.

You can track disk activity by process on Windows in Task Manager >> Performance >> Resource monitor
Select Logos4Indexer.exe when it is active and then pause it.

I'm sure I could if I was using Windows. [:D]

I thought you had both - so Mac doesn't provide any monitoring facilities?

Wiki Mac Troubleshooting => Slow Performance includes screen shot of Apple's Activity Monitor (Applications => Utilities).

Definitely not. I've never used a PC in my life, except to search for books in the public library and a few things like that. I wouldn't even know how to start one up. [:)]

There's Activity Monitor, certainly, but if that can be used to tell which program[s ] it is that is currently taxing the hard drive, then I don't know how to find that info.
