When I click on smart tag "replace with passage", it opens Logos 3, instead of using Logos 4 which is already opened. Any fix, or is it a to-be-added feature?
L4 does not yet support smart tags. I don't know that it will. It is under investigation.
So my options are:
have Logos 3 open to a blank page by default, which is faster and uses less resources when I use smart tags, or
?? what are some of you doing as a work around, just cutting and pasting?
I run with L4 open most of the time. If I want to copy from L4 I simply type:
copy Luke 1:5-7 into the commandbar and voila, my last used CBV style (always the same anway for me) put's it perfectly formatted into my clipboard.
You can also type open copy bible verses into the commandbar and adjust as you see fit.
If L4 is running already, it's really no different in speed from using the old systray icon.

The quickest way I can think of for this using Windows 7 and no mouse is
1. Highlight the passage (shift+arrow)
2. press CTRL + C
3. Assuming L4 is the first program on the task bar, hit Windows + 1
4. Hit Alt+ D
5. type "Copy "
6. Hit CTRL + V
7. Hit Alt + Tab
8. Hit CTRL + V
Yes. I would prefer a smart tag.
Can I ask a dumb question...
Could a utility be created to do those key strokes?
I don't program but I was wondering....
I'm almost certain that autohotkey could do it, but I don't have it installed to test it.
That would definitely be a good temporary solution to our woes.
Here's the link if someone wants to try it, I may attempt it later but I've got two sermons to finish....
Edit: Oh boy, I'm getting tired: http://www.autohotkey.com
same here as well
Since I'm not that smart..I'm looking at "macro recorder"
I'll let you know how it goes.
Neat - I didn't know that.
OK...
I tried Autohotkey and Macro recorder...
I'm just not smart enough...I'm certain that they could do it...but there was a dim bulb behind the keyboard...sorry..
I'll leave this to the pros...
