Search and tagging question
In Logos 4, is the ability to search beyond a specific word present. For instance, I want to be able to search for new man, or new life and be able to reference all verses pointing to that particular topic. In a boolean search, the words new and man come up, and their associated verses.
In my search need, for example, if I were to search putting on the new man, I would be able to reference Romans 6:4 and Ephesians 4:24. Does this make sense?
Short of creating an entire database in Access and then tagging individual verses in Word, am I able to do this in Logos 4?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome [:D]
Logos 4 Bible Search for:
(new,newness) AND (man,life)
finds all verses that have (new OR newness) AND (man OR life), which includes Romans 6:4 and Ephesians 4:24
By the way, wiki Getting Started with Logos => Search has many Tips and links, including => Detailed Search Help

Smiling thanks for that screenshot, but it still doesn't fill the need I have. It is still bringing up all the terms of man, and new and those are unneeded. I really require the ability to be able to search directly what I am looking for. In this instance it would be new man, or regenerate man. When searching I need the idea and not so much the exact wording. Make sense?

Hi Kstayte,
Perhaps using Search isn't the best method for finding your verses.
You might think about using Dictionary of Bible Themes to start with to locate key topic words (e.g. Regeneration). And from it use the Bible verses to investigate using New Treasure of Scripture Knowledge.
EDIT: often when looking for specific topics, i consult a Systematic Theology book (e.g. Grudem's). He almost always uses many scriptures to explain the topic. In fact there is a whole chapter on Regeneration in Grudem's Systematic Theology.

One idea is using a proximity Bible Search, then save results to a Passage List and deleting uninteresting verse(s) from list (e.g. Romans 1:30)
Initially changed Bible Search to:
new BEFORE 1-3 WORDS (man,life)
then looked at some grid results. Learned Ephesians 4:24 in ESV has "new self" while NLT has "new nature"; Ephesians 2:15 has "new people" in NLT while Romans 7:6 has "new way" so expanded search to:
new BEFORE 1-3 WORDS (man,life,nature,people,self,way)
Looking at 2 Corinthians 5:17 noticed ESV has "new creation" so my next Bible search iteration would be:
new BEFORE 1-3 WORDS (creation,man,life,nature,people,self,way)
From results in screen shot, noticed Hebrews 10:20 matches in many versions.
By the way, a Bible Search for regenerate finds two verses, which could be saved to a passage list, then added to passage list from previous search.
Searching my Logos library for articles about new or regenerate man finds Colossians 3:9-10 in article list:

Logos User Voice suggestion => Bring back Topic Search and Fuzzy Search is planned (not know when).

Another option is searching a Topical collection:
