Library - Title Column Is Too Short by Default

When I click the Library button, the Title column is very short (about 4 characters).

I know I can manually resize the column, or press the view button twice to cycle through, but that's annoying every time I restart the program. Is there any way to choose to keep my settings?

Is there a setting to force it back to the program defaults? This really should be a user decision, not a program decision.

I do not have this problem. Logos 4 saves the width of all my columns and opens back up with them at the widths they had when I closed the program.

There are no settings for column width. I cannot think what could be causing this anomaly for you.

    Thanks for your reply, Mark.

I think I figured it out, but someone else should see if they can replicate both the problem and solution. This appears to affect all columns, not just title, but I haven't verified on every single column.

    Steps to replicate the issue:

    1. Open the Library view (either from the Library button or the Library floating window via CTRL-L)
    2. Double-click at the END of the column you wish to expand. In L4, as with most other Windows programs, this will expand the column so that all of the text will show. You know you're in the right place when the cursor changes from the standard to look something like: <-|->.
    3. Close Logos.
    4. Open Logos.
    5. Open the Library view.
    6. The column you expanded before should be very narrow.

Assuming those steps replicated the issue, here are the steps to resolve it.

    1. Open the Library view.
    2. Manually resize the column you wish -- even if it is longer than the "automatic sizing" method listed above.
    3. Close Logos.
    4. Open Logos.
    5. Open the Library View
    6. The column should be sized correctly.

Will somebody please confirm both the issue and the resolution and post their results as a reply to this thread?

    Thank you!

This probably won't affect too many users, but it's the kind of question that can drive drive customer support technicians crazier than
they already are! (In my pre-pastoral life I worked in customer support for a software company

    Timothy,

I had a similar problem - my title column defaulted to about 4 characters - during beta for 4 or 5 updates.

Sometimes, what you did resolved it and I'd gleefully announce it was fixed only to have it reoccur - sometimes seconds later.

I have not had a problem since about a week before the release date.

Tech guys figured it had to do with my resolution (1440 x 900). One time they happened to have that resolution and were able to replicate. I don't know what they did, but I'd report it along with your machine specs and resolution if it reoccurs.
