Hi Sam,

Haven't found any in my L4 library.

But searching on the web, got many hits. Most cover just the general genre for each book of the Bible. In a Bible book various genres can vary (e.g. parable, genealogy, doxology, etc).

This site has a some info: http://www.ress.ie/inser-jun09/Biblical%20Genres%20and%20Form%20Criticism.pdf

From the Faithlife Study Bible:

"No serious Bible student can ignore the various genres in the Bible. Ten predominate: narrative, law, wisdom, psalms, and prophecy in the ot; and gospel, parable, Acts, letter, and apocalypse in the nt. Each of these genres must be read differently in order for their content to be appreciated and understood."

On a very general level, How To Read The Bible For All Its Worth is excellent.

Logos has its own genre coding available in the Passage Guide. I think I put a list of them in the wiki but I may have just given a sample in the filters section.

For the Old Testament, the series Forms of Old Testament Literature contains a thorough, systematic genre analysis. The Andersen-Forbes Analyzed Text (in many of the Logos base packages) is also useful, as it tags individual words with the genre (text type) they appear in.
