I'm not a preaching pastor. I work behind the scenes creating media for our services. A few years ago I was burnt out. I realized I was not honoring the Sabbath or taking responsibility for my own spiritual growth. Which I've found to be tragically common for those who work at a church.
Anyway I've made a lot of changes and I picked up Logos a few months ago because Mark Driscoll was promoting it. Being a techie I've got a good handle on how to use the program but I'm looking for some best practices when it comes to studying the Bible. In other words I've got a good grasp on what the program can do I'm looking for the how and why to use it. I have the basic home bible study edition and I can get overwhelmed with the information Logos can put at my finger tips. But I want to make sure I'm not abusing the information or misinterpreting it.
I'm averaging studying 1-2 verses a day. That takes me 30-60 minutes. I'm really enjoying it, growing closer to Jesus and seeing Him change my life from the inside out. I'm focusing on the old saying of letting the Bible get through me instead of me getting through the Bible.
Any resources to point me towards? Really enjoying it just want to get better and utilize as much of the program as I can.
Thanks,
Dave
