When I first started to put PBB files on my Mac, it came up with a warning that I hadn't installed any PBB files. It still does that briefly every time I go to PBB. How can I eliminate that dumb leftover warning?

I don't think you do. It is slightly annoying, I agree. Tongue Tied

On my system it is very brief, and I had not even paid attention to that notice. Color me inattentive Geeked

Maybe the Logos tech guys have a solution. Errors shouldn't linger forever. Something about the warning system that doesn't retract. It's buggy and should be removed.

Color me inattentive as well. I never noticed this. Though I don't make too many Personal Books. I can repro this and will see if it is the same on Windows, and then I'll send it to Q/A.

I've seen it as well and of course it is a bug, but given all the things that don't work at all, or take ten or more times longer than they should, I would hope that, unless it can be fixed in less than 5 minutes, they put it somewhere around place 1,000 or so on the bug fixing list. Unlike hundreds of others, this is one bug I can easily live with.

I agree, save for the fact that such errors are often compounded later when code reuse spreads the problem to another function. Dollars to donuts it's a poorly implemented conditional statement. I'm surprised it's even there given Logos' pursuit of excellence.

You're right, if it's the kind of error that spreads, it should be fixed before it does so.

Surprise

Are we talking about the same program and the same company?

Unfortunately, the guiding principle of Logos programming is "code first, optimize later."

Let's just say I am an optimist even though my QA and programming experience might make me cynical. How many months has PBB been out? It's later past due.

About a year, I believe, but I don't think I saw this error until 4.5something.

I agree with you... But this doesn't even make my top 100 list.
