Way to hide Perseus books?

I like having the Perseus collection, but really only plan to read a few of the books. I mostly use Logos for Bible research. So if I want to just browse the library window, I have to scroll through all the dozens of ad urbe conditas and apophthegmatas, etc to find what I want. Is there a way to hide certain books or collections from the full library view?

Ctrl-right-click on a grou of selected books in the Library doesn't seem to work anymore in L5. How do I hide multiple books now in L5?

    thanks

Still works for me (on Windows). Are you using Logos on a Mac? What version of Logos do you have? Current is 5.2 SR-3.

I'm using the latest beta for Windows. I'm on Windows 8 (not 8.1).

also doesn't work in my win7 laptop with latest beta.

Peace, Dave!                      I think I've hit on an acceptable decision for myself ...         I want to get the dead sea scrolls             and some of the Perseus material out of normal sight -- however I don't want to "hide" it the Logos way to get it off my hard drive ...

Since we are allowed to edit also the main resource name, I -- as the Lord gives me time and strength -- will be adding "zz - " to the beginning of these files ...........                         that way they will gather at the very end of my list of OVER 9,000 books ..

I'm glad you posted!          *smile*           Peace to you!              I think your post has helped me greatly; and I Thank You Indeed!

Here's a screen shot sample of what I mean -- and intend to do soonest! for myself, eh?

Philippians 4:  4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

Do you mean the latest beta for Logos 5? Just checking as this is in the Logos 4 forum.

    I can confirm this doesn't work in 5.2a B1

I will cross post in the Logos 5 beta forum.

I use collections to do this then use them as a filter for the library, the collection that I use the most selects only resources in English and removes Perseus and Vyrso, the matching string for this is:

    language:english ANDNOT (publisher:perseus OR edition:ebook)

I prefer this approach to hiding as it leaves the resource on my hard disk so it is there if I decide I want it.

You've been around long enough to know that:

    • you shouldn't hijack a thread with your own problem
    • if running a beta version you should report problems to the Desktop Beta forum, to which Graham has kindly referred your issue.

    Hi Dave,

I was trying to do exactly what the OP was doing (hiding the Perseus books) and found that the directions on the Wiki (provided by NB.Mick) didn't work for me.  So trying to solve the same problem, not hijacking the thread for my "own" problem.

The Wiki says the instructions (Ctrl-Right-Click) should work on 4.6 and above. It wasn't until Rosie and Graham Criddle confirmed that it's a problem with the latest L5 beta that we realize it's a beta regression issue.

Let's try to make these forums more friendly and grace-filled in 2014.

If you know you're running the beta, any problems in the program should be reported in the beta forum by default. (You can still use "General" to discuss books or other topics, of course.)

Without the MVPs' help, it's extremely unlikely the development team would have seen this problem posted here on a very old Logos 4 thread.
