In order to follow signals in the Bible and Faithlife mobile apps, you must ensure that a few things are set up correctly first.
One key thing to keep in mind when setting up and using signals is that signals are broadcast to a specific location; they are location based, not group based.
1) In the Proclaim application, your presentation must have the location set to the correct address. The address is located in a dropdown on the main toolbar. This is the location where your signals will be broadcast.
2) In the mobile app you are using (Bible!, for example), you must have "Follow Presentations" set to "On". This is located under "Account" (the little gear symbol) > "Settings" > "Follow Presentations".
3) If you have never followed a presentation by a particular group before, you will also want to have "Ask to Follow Nearby" set to "On." This will ensure that when the presentation goes On Air, the Bible app will ask you if you want to follow it.
Once you have followed a presentation by a particular group, they will be placed in the "Proclaim Groups" list. In future, whenever a presentation from that group goes On Air, you will automatically start to follow it. If you no longer wish to automatically follow presentations by that group, you can tap the group name and select "Forget this Group".
4) If you are still unable to see the signals or presentation, check to ensure that you have location services turned on for your phone. You can ensure that your device is at the same location specified on your presentation by opening the Maps app and checking to see the locator pin is at the same location as in the Proclaim application.
5) If you are running iOS 6, you will have to explicitly set the location services for Logos Bible app and/or Faithlife app (whichever you use to follow signals) to "On". You can do this by going to Settings > Privacy > Location Services. Ensure that the switch for Faithlife and/or Logos Bible is toggled to "On".
Great tips, thank you for the clarification!

Thanks, all of these are functioning. In fact, we continually had a church down the road's presentation continue to pop up on our phones but ours wouldn't.
Kyle,
Sorry to hear this. I'll follow up with you directly to get this sorted out for you.
One thing I noticed this Sunday that when you go On Air once and then go On Air again, the signals do not show up and the presentation does not show up as active. I went on Air to check some things but then during the actual service, when I looked on my iPhone, it said the presentation had completed but did not show up as acive. i checked several times during the service and no luck.
I have seen this before but just thought I was doing something wrong. I have everything set up as you specify. Are we not allowed to go On Air more than once in a day??
Thanks
Still can't get it to go. Even when I am hitting ON AIR on my laptop and have my iPad in front of me. grrrr
Michael and Wade - We have an update coming soon for the iOS apps that will have improved signal detection for Proclaim. Once this update comes out, you will hopefully see improvement in your signals experience.
is that the app for the devices or the program on the laptop? the program just updated today.
Wade, I am following up with you via email.
It still does not work if you go On Air and then off and then On Air again. It seems to only follow it once in the same day. This is a problem because people would like to do a Dry Run before the actual service. I am On Air now and in my Logos App it says it is Completed and not Active. The signals are not showing up.
Michael, unfortunately the new iOS app has not been released yet. It can take some time for Apple to approve app updates and get them into the app store. You should see improvements in signal following when the new iOS app appears in the app store.
I just got the LOGOS app update on my iPad2 but the signals are still escaping my grasp! Is there another update regarding PROCLAIM or LOGOS on my computer that I should be getting?
Is there a particular page on Logos' series of websites that I can direct people to so they can download a version of the mobile app for their phone? I'm in the process of creating a new website for our church, and want to put a link on the site to allow people to download the mobile apps.
Peace & Blessings,
Colin+
I would hyperlink to this https://itunes.apple.com/app/bible!/id336400266?mt=8 and that should lead them to the app.
Wade, you should be good to go with the latest update for the Logos app. I am following up with you via email for more details. I'm using the email associated with your forum account.
thx Ann!
Colin,
You can find our mobile apps for each platform here: http://www.logos.com/apps
Thanks,
Matt
Ok, we are able to get the app to open but for some reason we don't get everything in the presentation. Only the bible verses. The Powerpoint, pix, etc. do not show up. Is that normal or is there some other setting for those items to show?

Bible service items automatically create signals for the bible reference you've used for that service item. For other slides, however, you need to manually add the signal you want.
You can do this by going to the "Signals" section of your service item and clicking the "Add Signal" link. You can find videos explaining how to add different types of signals here: http://proclaimonline.com/support/videos.aspx
On the iPhone 5 os6 you need to go into settings/general/restrictions and make sure that either Logos or Faitlife is in the on position. If you don't do this first your Presentation enable feature won't be available in the app.
