I do my Libronix notetaking in MS Word, and have recently migrated to Office 2007 (out of pure necessity I might add) and am trying to get some of my old custom tools going.
Does anyone know of a free toolbar customiser for Office\Word 2007? There are quite a few paid ones, but there might be a good free solution out there.
ThanksRichard

No, but I thought you might be interested to know that the ribbon will be customizable in Office 2010 which I believe is due out the first part of 2010.

Hi Richard, I remember a tech article some years ago about a free utility to make 2007 work like 2003... am out of town for the week, but don't give up hope that you'll find one.

what kind of "custom tools" do you have? Macros can be easily added to the Quick Access Toolbar.
Yes - a few macros are already on the toolbar, but you can't create custom icons, nor can you create custom groups or tabs without a knowledge of XML.
You are right about the custom icons--I really wish they had not taken away the icon edit tool. It is pretty easy to create custom tabs in the ribbon without knowing XML. I have done a number of them and I couldnt write anything in XML if you put a gun to my head. Download the free Office 2007 Custom UI Editor from the Microsoft web site. Read a couple of paragraphs of instructions, use the sample files included, and you are good to go.
Great thanks, I'll try the custom UI tool.
