I am no doubt going to update to Logos 5, but my question is, "how is the performance of Logos 5 on an i5 processor with 8GB of ram"? I had to purchase a new computer to run Logos 4 and I noticed that the spec are higher on 5 than with 4. Logos 4 runs great on my machine, but I am certianly not going to upgrade if I am going to go back in the performance issue. Again, it is a Dell i5 processor with 8GB RAM and what I am sure is a 5400 HD. Thanks!

Your mileage may vary, But L5 does run faster on my machine:

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Logos 5 is noticeably faster on my computer. I was reading that others were finding improved performance which was one of the main reasons I decided to go ahead and upgrade. The program seems more responsive than L4.

As for startup time:

Logos 4 used to take about a minute and half on my computer to start, but with the newest L4 updates it seemed to launch in about 40 seconds (or perhaps that had something to do with upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8).

Logos 5 seems to take about a minute to startup initially (that is, since last reboot). After closing Logos 5 and reopening it (during the same Windows session) it normally takes less than 15 seconds.

The startup tests were done after defragmenting the hard drive with PerfectDisk Professional.
