What "Soon" means or at least approximately means would be helpful.

Yes, that is good news.  I needed a little pick-me-up today.  This helps...

After last night I need more than a LITTLE pick-me-up.  Crying

So did Romney. Stick out tongue Or can we expect another rigged supreme court decision?

Phil Gons:

We're still working on the exact contents that the MCs will include. The smaller one, which might lack one or two features, will probably be between $75 and $150. The larger one, with all the features plus a few core resources, will probably be between $150 and $300, depending on which version of the software you're moving from. For Logos 4 users, it'll be on the lower end of those ranges. For Logos 3, it'll be a bit more expensive. For Logos 2 users, even more.

For Logos 5 Starter to Silver users who are just looking to pick up the missing features, it'll be significantly lower. Dynamic pricing will apply to both products, so the ownership discount will be applied as appropriate.

I know nothing is set in stone, but if I'm reading Phil's post correctly, the lowest cost will be around $150 for everything.  I was hoping that "everything" for the crossgrade will be no more than $100.  However, if the crossgrade includes resources and that increases the price, then I understand why it would be more.

What I am interested in is having access to all the new features and things that Logos 5 can do.  I hope that won't cost me $300.  I currently have L4 Platinum and can upgrade to Gold for about $380.

As I already stated, no final decisions have been made, but I wonder if I am misunderstanding Phil's post.

Yes, he did.  Now, after 4 more years of this incompetent and traitorous administration, it may take another century to turn the ship of state in a more proper direction.  BTW:  The Supreme Court decision was correct.

Looking forward to the "Core" and "Core Light" options.

Personally, I love the idea of just having the core functionality without all the extra resources.  I come to Logos for it's powerful word study and cross referencing (value-added tools), not  all the bundled e-paperbacks.

Thanks Logos for all that you do.  We're behind you and hope you receive all of our response as loving support and simply trying to effectively communicate what we value to help you prosper.

That is very encouraging news.  I'm happy to pay for the new features.  I'm not one of the (very few, but vocal) who want it for nothing.  What I don't want is to pay for a bunch of new resources I neither need nor want in an upgrade package just to get the new data sets.  I would still spend that money on Logos resources, but it would be on resources I want.  That makes for happier customers, in my never-owned-a-retail-business opinion.

Again, thanks for the encouraging news.

My thanks to the various MVPs. Without them Logos would have died early. They were the only real help available.

Faithlife Corp. owes the MVPs free resources for life.

George, I love you. Aversion to interlinears and all... ;) I hope I get to meet you sometime this side of glory. I'm with you on your impressively brief synopsis.

I hope that all of us here remember Daniel 2:21: "he removes kings and sets up kings." Christians do have a responsibility to trust in God's providence at all times. (I'm not saying you don't, just thought we all need this reminder...)

Uh oh. I didn't read Phil's statement too careful. "Logos 3" users.   I wonder how they'll know I'm using Logos3? Probably at least for the next few weeks, I'll use my Logos4. Synchronize a lot. Maybe makes some notes. Just in case.

Actually Phil's little messages is absolutely great news (after hearing about Logos5, of course).

Phil was likely referring to those who purchased L3 and never upgraded to L4—but you probably already guessed this Cool

I think it have to be more for those who have never upgraded to L4 Base Package or at least to the Minimal Crossgrade (even if they installed Logos 4 engine). They will actually buy both minimal crossgrades, Logos 4 and Logos 5 one. In Logos 5 case it have to include also some resources connected to the new features.

It is very fair and flexible from Logos IMHO. I really appreciate them for that approach.

Ok, sorry here in advance (First off-I am NOT Judging anyone, that is someone else's job Wink)...But I am a man who stands FIRMLY under God's Inerrant Word.

So the question I pose to everyone that favors the Democratic party. How can ANY TRUE professed Christian, vote Democrat? Granted, the Republicans have issues too, but there are BIG issues that the the Dems ACTIVELY support: Homosexuality, Gay-Marriage, and Abortion (do you realize what partial-birth abortion is-they suck the brains out of the child as it is exiting the womb! Angry). DO you realize that statically the mothers womb, IS NOW THE MOST DANGEROUS PLACE for a baby?!!

These topics are CLEARLY outlined within Scripture, and are clearly against God's desire for His children. So again, to those that support the Dems...please use your Great LOGOS software to research God's Holy Word, and STAND FIRMLY under it. What this world needs now more that anything is Preachers and all Christians to stand up as true Biblical leaders of our current immoral society. We must educate and teach our people, with love, how wrong and unscriptural these things are...Brothers and Sisters...it is time to get busy!

Lastly, if your a "liberal" "Pastor" who supports these things...you will have some explaining to do to your Creator...

Hi Preacherman,

Even as a Brit, I appreciate that passions run high around election time... I am also guessing, reading between the lines and putting two and two together, that you may be a Republican Big Smile

I, therefore, appreciate your profound disappointment.

I just thought I should flag that Logos ask forum users to not debate 'biblical, theological or other controversial topics...' It appears, inadvertently, you have manage to tick all three boxes within a single post Big Smile

In all seriousness, you may wish to edit your post so that it conforms within the forum guidelines. The primary purpose of this forum is to discuss Logos Bible Software. I appreciate, from your post count, that you may not yet have come across the forum guidelines. You can read them, here,

You kind consideration is very much appreciated.

Every blessing Big Smile

[Edit: Having read earlier posts, I note that you are responding to earlier politically orientated discussion. It would be really good if we could all be mindful of the guidelines.]

Jack ... yes, I knew. And to be really honest, when I saw Bob's 'official' thread and then Phil's (which thrilled me even more), I was a happy camper.  As you can imagine, the marketing angle does rile me up.

Obviously I don't work at Logos but best I can figure, L5 has more hebrew-ish/greek-ish work in it than the Hebrew Discourse. Whatever their asking is, is going to be worth it.
