Cross reference.

Waht is the quickest way to get a cross reference? I have this verse on the screen; 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)
18give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
I want similar verses. Fast.

Open the NTSK is also an option.

I've been told that it's an internal summary of cross references found in the various Bible resources.

I've always been told that the references were coming from the TSK but after looking at it more closely, I am not sure that is the case.
Take John 15:7 for example. Here's the Cross Reference generated by the Passage Guide.
Meanwhile, here are the references from TSK for John 15:7. Notice it is missing some critical verses (italicized, underlined,in bold letters and with a check mark to its left).

So I am not really sure where the Cross Reference verses from PG are coming from. It would be nice if Logos can add the missing references plus the word/phrase the verses are actually referencing (probably include the symbols as well like the check mark to indicate something is a critical verse).

Victor, I believe the results in the Cross References section are generated by looking for cross reference footnotes in all the bibles in your library.

This reminds me of a question I thought of the other day in Church when I was using my print NKJV Study Bible (Nelson)...I was using the cross references that appearing in the "gutter" section on each page, and was wondering if these references were in the Logos edition, however I don't readily see them just now. Are they in Logos?

I pulled up the Nelson NKJV Study Bible and next to it for comparison another NKJV. The answer was No.

Not correct. Only a few are used. See HELP! my memory cache is full (warning: long and winding thread, but it gets there eventually).

My apologies. My explanation was too concise. Yes, it finds the list of bibles that are marked to indicate they contain cross references. Then it looks in each of those bibles to see if any cross reference footnotes have been marked at the desired reference for the guide.
I also see the posts in that thread indicating that references are limited to the ranges supported by your top bibles. It doesn't look like a Logos employee responded to this issue, so I'll write up a case to consider this issue. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Thanks, fgh. Bradley does seem to indicate there that the issue mentioned is resolved. Any differences in behavior from my last explanation should be reported as a bug.
