http://documents.logos.com

Is anyone using http://documents.logos.com? I believe it is still in beta but was wondering if it is working for anyone. When I go there, I get a list of my document but cannot retrieve any detail when I click on them. I currently am using Logos 4 Mac and also wondered if this was enabled when upgrading to Logos 5. Thanks.

This still being developed and currently only handles a few document types. AFAIK it is working only for users involved in the original beta testing. When complete it will offer the security feature many have requested for our documents i.e. ability to recover (undelete) deleted documents + ability to share documents.

What are you expecting? The primary purpose of the site - at least at the moment - is so that you can share and undelete documents. You should be able to do this via the Actions menu.

David I was not asked to be part of the original beta testing for Logos 5 and I have no issue connecting to them.
I don't know for whom the site would be "working" but people should be cautious about "Undelete" as it currently supports only a few document types.

Mark,I was hoping to actually see my notes on the site. Right now if I click on the notes file, it brings up a detail page with nothing on it. The benefit would be having your notes available from any computer or web browser. I travel extensively and this could be helpful. I was also curious. This funtionality is offed by Amazon on their Kindle platform. Can anyone see the actual notes detail when you click on the notes file on the web page? Btw, nice tutorial video on Logo 5.Dave

No. Perhaps that will come, but I've not heard that there are any plans for that at the moment.

I was hoping to actually see my notes on the site.We plan to have web viewers for many (all?) of the document types in the future, but I don't have any dates. The first goal is getting publishing and collaboration working for each relevant document type.

It is a great feature and so far working well for my wife and I.

I notice that my Syntax Searches are there. If I share syntax searches with others, will it show up on their Logos desktop?
I assume publish allows other to read the document and collaborate allows others to edit it.
Will this only work if a person is a (paying) subscriber to Faithlife?

You are correct about "publish" and "collaborate": when you publish a document, you create a snapshot of it that others can download and use as they please. When you collaborate with a group, then others can connect to it, and all changes are shared.
No subscription is required to access this service, although you do need access to the relevant resources (syntax databases, etc.) to get full use out of it.

Is anything supposed to be web-viewable? I go to my documents site and the document names are there, but after clicking on a document name, the title shows, but nothing else. Is that the current level of development?

Bill,
That's correct. Web viewers and more document types to share are in the works.

You can now view your notes document content on the site.

Thank you. This is a nice feature!
One issue is when returning from viewing a note doc, we are returned to the 1st page in the document list. This can be troubling in that i have many pages (web pages show 9) and to move forward requires re-navigating thru several pages to get to the page where i initially selected the note doc to view.
EDIT: most of my docs are viewable, with the exception of my doc Salvation which is listed on the 1st web page. i get this error screen on my browser when clicking on it:
It displays correctly in L4 and L4's syncing shows to be working correctly. Just thought that i would let ya'll know of this problem.

Steve,
The error while viewing your document has been noted and we're looking into the issue.
