My girlfriend, who only uses the Egyptian texts from the library, has previously installed my library on a Windows XP. Now that I get an L5 DVD, can she use the DVD to add the additional books? And how?
Your license allows one user ( you) to load your resources on any computer you own. It sounds like your girlfriend's computer is not your computer so it would be illegal/unethical for her to load your resources on her computer.
She uses Logos like a few minutes a year or something like that, she's not into research like I am.
Then perhaps she can save the space on her computer and use yours. [;)]
My Netbook has an XP operating system and downloaded a number of new resources per "update now" after I "upgraded" to L5 for my Win 7 desktop.
So Logos 4 will see and take new resources based on an L5 licence. Whether you can get them from an L5 DVD is another matter: depends on whether Logos put all the appropriate resources on that DVD. I expect many may be. Interesting to hear which release of L5 you get on that DVD..... either way, expect a large number of additional resources will be updated after the DVD was burned and these will need to be downloaded...

We don't live together and my computer is in use all the time.

Like it was pointed out above: it's illegal to install Logos on computers that aren't yours.

Logos support article with End User License Agreement (EULA) => http://www.logos.com/support/EULA includes:
The short version is this: "The license goes with the user. Every user must purchase their own package. If you have a work machine and a laptop and they are both yours for your personal use, you may load it on both for your personal use - because the license goes with the user." Can you purchase one package and have two people use it? No. The license goes with the user. The license is a single user license. All licenses are single human being licenses. We do not offer site-licenses, shared licenses, co-op licenses, library licenses or multi-user licenses. A church or company may be the purchaser and thus legal owner of the license grant, but may only allow one human being to be the beneficiary of this license grant.
My girlfriend, who only uses the Egyptian texts from the library, ...
Noticed http://books.logos.com has 399 Egyptian books plus over 7,000 more scanned from various seminary libraries.
Thankful for Logos Sales, who upgraded my wife to Logos 5 Silver plus minimal crossgrade so we share one monthly payment for two Logos 5 library upgrades, which have different content, preferences, and priorities.
Keep Smiling [:)]
I really don't understand how it would make a difference if I would be married, just saw the following: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/61088/433253.aspx#433253So, anyone has an answer to my question about the DVD?My girlfriend uses Logos extremely little. She's used it once so far, together with me, for about 15 minutes, just glancing at the library and a few NT passages. She doesn't even want to use the search through the whole library! And I don't even know myself yet, by heart, how to do proper, more limited searches, so I was unable to help her. She's not all that good at English so it's difficult for her to understand the in-built help or any video-tutorials.
Why don't use remote login? You can ask your gf to remote login into your computer so that she can use L5?
For example TeamViewer is free for personal use. I don't think you keep using your computer 24/day and 7 days/week.
Your inability to see how it is wrong does not make it less wrong. The line must be drawn somewhere and Logos decides where. I would uninstall it from your girlfriends computer, unless being immoral does not bother you that much.
It is not until you marry that two become one. So it makes a big difference between a girlfriend and a wife. Your girlfriend may use what you determine as insignificant time right now, but what happens if she starts using it more. When do you draw the line and say she should get her own license?. I really appreciate you brother being a part of this community but on this one you have stepped onto a slippery slope.
I don't have internet.

Both you and she are doing something illegal. You have broken the contract you signed with Logos when you started using the software, and she is using a stolen copy of it. You should take another look at http://www.logos.com/support/EULA. After what you've admitted here, that contract actually gives Logos the right to terminate your account and license, without refunding you, as well as take you to court. I doubt they will, but they have the right.
Plus you'll regret that installation the first time she accidentally deletes something you've spent hours on.
Well if I would be married to her I wouldn't let her use Logos more than she does now, without uninstalling Logos from her XP and telling her to get an own account. So I'm not a person who wants maximal "benefits".
You don't have internet? How can you post your message? Sometimes you post it at 1:00am.
