Why is this book $170.00? Seems a very steep for one book.

That's the publisher's list price.
Actually it's not easy to grow older! May God give us older guys and gals Grace and Strength! *smile*
However, I often rejoice that I have been around Logos for a long time. That has permitted me to take part in many wonderful community pricing and pre-publication ventures.
Blair, I'm not sure why this one book is so expensive. It is very, very good and quite helpful. I can tell you that.
Also, my heart does go out to you and so many others who were not around Logos when some real deals were happening or for one reason or another could not take part in a special offering from Logos. For example, the book you mention is just one part of a whole collection .............. https://www.logos.com/product/5919/theology-of-the-old-testament-collection which I bought from Logos in 2010 for $189.95 U.S. Dollars. Imagine!
I realise that the super special deals are now fewer and more far in between than they used to be; however, please do keep your eyes open to community pricing and pre-pub specials.
Peace to all! ... and ..... Always Joy in the Lord! *smile*
You can by a hard copy of the book from Amazon for $124.00, and you can by the eBook from Google for $32.00.
- or you could try calling Logos. The books from Sheffield Academic Press are usually expensive once they're out of pre-pub. But they may also be heavily discounted if you talk to someone from customerservice...........
Really my question is what makes this book worth $170.00? To me, I look and the book is only 272 pages. I can understand if this book was an encyclopedia or something like that.
Most of the books from Sheffield happens to be a person's thesis/dissertation, and I have never seen a cheap thesis/dissertation for sale anywhere. Typically, they do cost between $100 and $200.

Then you're looking in the wrong place. Swedish ones tend to be $20-30 new, much less second hand. These days you can find plenty free on the internet. And they're usually in English.
