The title says it all. I'm using the Replace with Passage service to insert verses into a Word doc, but need it to use the style I use for all my Scripture citations.

The Replace with Passage function (AKA smart tags) always uses the last style used by Copy Bible Verse (CTRL-B). Note that all you have to do is select the style and copy to the clipboard for the style to be 'remembered' (it's not enough to just select the style, but you don't have to actually paste anything either).

It is not possible, as far as I know, to set a specific style to always use for Replace with passage. It only works the way I described above.

EDIT: fixed a typo.

That is my understanding as well

I wonder if there's a small bug in it then. I use a custom style I defined and it mostly matches my style, but the verse numbers do not come across superscript. It's almost like it's copying it as straight text without styling but I don't know how to verify.

Open you CBV tool and confirm that custom style is the one it opens with. It should open to the last style used in the CBV. Also, what happens if you send the verse or passage to a word document directly from the CBV using your custom style?

Everything is fine when I use the CBV tool from Logos. I'm trying to avoid the round trip of switching from Word to Logos and back to Word if I can do it directly from Word. If the superscripts came over correct, I think I'd be good.

I understand. I suggested trying it from the CBV tool in order to try and help troubleshoot. It could be a bug in Logos or it could be a bug in Word. Hopefully someone from Logos will pick up this thread and diagnose.
