Scrolling works now?!?!?

I don't recall seeing anything about it in the logs, but this morning because I can't help trying things out I once again center clicked and the little scrolling icon came up and it worked!

Hey Thomas, I've NEVER had a problem with scrolling....from Beta infinity to Beyond! [:D]

Really? Are you talking about Center-click and then autoscroll? Because it hasn't been working before.

Clicking the mouse wheel, then moving the mouse up or down to auto-scroll will be fixed in 4.0a. (I don't know if touchpad scrolling will be fixed; that may depend more on the individual touchpad drivers...?)

It still doesn't work for me. I have a logitech mouse and smooth scrolling worked in 3.0 but it still doesn't in Logos4.

Even in the video that you posted the scrolling is jumpy not smooth.

Yes, Thomas. I could never understand why testers were saying they couldn't get their mouse wheel scrolling to work....mine has worked essentially from the beginning of the Beta (not sure exactly when), but I thought I posted somewhere on the Beta sight that I had no problem using it. So, I don't know how to respond to Bradley's statement other than to say....call me lucky that I've gotten to use this feature for "so long" [:D]
As for the touchpad scrolling I don't ever remember it working on my laptop...but then again I hardly use that feature and most of the time have it turned off since the pad gets in the way too often.

I just found the conversation....about using the mouse wheel (it was dated Oct. 6).

Mitch,
Thomas is talking about auto-scrolling, not mouse-wheel scrolling. Autoscrolling is when you click the mouse wheel once (aka the third mouse button), and then use the whole mouse to control the speed of the the up/down automatic scrolling.

Okay, sorry for not understanding so well. That I cannot say for sure, but like Thomas, my "auto"scroll is working now. Not sure if that was working during the Beta.

That has more to do with Jing than Logos. it's smooth on my screen, Jing's capture rate just didn't "capture" the smooth scrolling.JohnBrumett said:Even in the video that you posted the scrolling is jumpy not smooth.

Auto-scrolling works now even on the touchpads in Logos 4.0a RC. At least it works on my Dell XPS. I click both touchpad buttons and here you go, I get to the auto-scrolling mode.
