Library.Logos.com Browser (a tiny program)

Thanks to Logos for the library.logos.com website. This will surely help netbook owners and other people "on-the-go" have access to Logos.

I have written a simple utility in Delphi, which emulates a mobile browser and works with library.logos.com from a desktop machine.

The source code is attached. License is GPL.

I hope that the icon used in this program does not violates Logos Company copyrights.

How is the emulation done:

- the UserAgent string in Registry is modified to iPhone OS 3.0 browser
- the website is opened
- when the program closes, the UserAgent string is restored

I am using the User Agent Switcher add-on for Firefox. It allows me to change my user agent to whatever (say iPhone or whatever). Works great going to library.logos.com. I have to remember to switch back to Firefox mode for regular sites or they have missing features.

my ie 8 now thinks its a mobile browser. how do i restore it back because i can't go to windows update without it trying to send me to mobile.microsoft.com. thanks.

just to clarify - I don't think the UserAgent is being reset. I get this error message when trying to access dell.com from ie 8:

Please press Start button, choose Run, regedit - you will have the Registry editor started.

Then go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft\Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Internet Settings \ 5.0 \ User Agent

Delete the Version string in that section. Close the Registry editor and try MSIE 8.0 again.
