The New NIV is not very good and most of us evangelicals and students of the Bible want the older better 1984 version of the NIV.

This is not a Logos or Zondervan decision.

The only way this will happen is if Biblica releases the license to sell it again. I have written them about this and would urge you to do the same.

As far as I'm concerned, which one is better is irrelevant. The 84 version is what we have in our church, and what most folks carry with them. Also, many modern commentaries reference the NIV84 (including Zondervan's NIV Application Commentary). We need it just do our work, and to consult as we look at other materials in Logos.

"We need it just [to] do our work, and to consult as we look at other materials in Logos."

Couldn't agree more. It's a shame Biblica decided to stop licensing the NIV84 and the TNIV - both are important translations for pastors and others to have available.
