I haven't seen this mentioned before, but apologies if it's duplicate. If you're wanting have the internet part of Logos turned off, but still want to be notified about program updates (not resource updates), you could subscribe to this RSS feed. It appears to notify of release and beta versions.

Thanks for that Mark.
I updated from Logos3 to Logos4-Leader's a couple of weeks ago. I notice on this site I have a choice to make....which one should I select if this is for me....thanks....

If you have automatic updates turned on in Logos4, you don't need to worry, it will update itself. If you've switched them off, just download the most recent non-beta.
I should add that the non-beta RSS update feed is:
https://clientservices.logos.com/update/v1/feed/logos4/stable.xml
My Logos4 informed me this morning that it wanted to install an update, which I clicked 'yes' to, but after initiating the installation it came up with a file and folder asking me if I could confirm access. It would not proceed. The file and folder exist in my system. The message is "Error writing to file:" and references a file called "Logos4.resources.dll". Tried a reboot thinking the file might be locked and in use, but same result.
Is anyone else having this issue?

These https commands should not be used in the normal course of a released version of the software to restrict software updates as it may lead to your not receiving a "stable" update when it is needed. The commands available in Program Settings were provided after much user debate about automatically downloading without any user control:-
1. Automatically Download Updates should be set to NO if you want to manage resource and software downloads (with Use Internet = YES). You will receive a notification that a download is available but you can refuse it.
2. If you want to work off-line (no sync, no Home Page updates, no downloads) then set Use Internet = NO
3. If you want temporarily to work off-line then start L4 with Ctrl key pressed and choose "Work Offline".

Dave, there are no commands here: simply an RSS feed which indicates when a new release is available.... I have it in my google feed so that I know if an update is available even if Logos is not running.... (which is albeit rare)

My apologies, Mark! I jumped in there without looking.
