Can someone please update me on what is going on with sermon file addin. I understood we were expecting something late last year, no? Been a long while in the making, I know some have used PBB but I haven't, nor do I know how. Hoping for the addin as promised.
The Sermon File functionality has been delivered (in Logos 4 and 5) as an extension to Personal Book Builder that turns Word documents with a specific table of data (at the beginning of each sermon) into a LDLS3-style Sermons resource. Some information about the format to use is available here: http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4.6a
There will not be a separate "Sermon File Addin". However, for those who used Sermon File in LDLS3, we will be delivering (in a future release) an "import sermon file" command that can read your LDLS3 Sermon File documents and convert them to Word docs that Logos 5 PBB can compile.
Darren, maybe I missed something but as far as I know the sermon file addin is dead. What has taken its place are special data settings in Personal Book Builder. That became available in Logos 4.6a (back the end of October).

OK thanks, would have preferred them to do as they promised, however, I will look at how to use a PBB. Thanks again.
Darren, making a PBB out of a sermon isn't going to be difficult after you've done it a couple of times. You do need a copy of MS Word 2003 or later.
There is a good article on PBBs on the wiki: http://wiki.logos.com/Personal_Books
Slight correction: You don't need MSFT Word at all... But you need a word processor capable of creating .docx (new Word format) files.

I realize that this thread is a bit dated. However, one thing that is missed from the original functionality of the sermon file addin is the importing into sermons.logos.com
Is this even possible with the PBB builder?

THANK-you, Bradley!

It's possible, but we don't know what Logos is planning with its sync functionality for PB's.
