Is Mebin:As far as Pentecostal material goes, I'd be more interested in reading up on Branham, John G. Lake, Wigglesworth, Maria Woodworth-Etter, and the like...for a historical perspective of my roots.
Rich,
I second Mebin's list. I would much rather see these. Especially Smith Wigglesworth, for a more historical perspective on Pentecostalism. i would also like to see Lester Summeral included.
God Bless
Stephen
Hi, Milford, thanks!
Yes, I posted a comment in that thread yesterday. I currently have a list of 373 authors who've written something either from within or of interest to the Pentecostal/charismatic market. (Not all these authors are P/C, but they wrote something about the Holy Spirit, glossalalia, charisms, etc.) Of those authors, 199 have product in the Logos library. Of the products I've discovered, there are 728 titles I want to be sure get properly rounded up and tagged. We're working on it!

Oh, by the way, regarding the numbers I cited, some of the titles we have are in Vyrso and are only ePub, not properly tagged Logos-style books. So, not all titles are equal.
Rich Tatum / Logos: I know several people over at CBC, a fine college.

Isn't CBC merging with Evangel and AGTS? I hope the faculty/staff losses aren't too severe.
Paul Golder: Hmm...
Hmm...
Once again, this is why the author vs author format for March Madness is not ideal.

Would you elaborate please? I don't catch your drift
Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."
Hi, Sogol, yes, they are merging, finally, after decades of rumors. It begins this summer, actually. I, too, hope none of the three schools lose much staff or faculty, but it's bound to happen. On the other hand, once the cost of the merger is accounted for, there may actually be more money to hire more faculty because overhead will be lower. At least, I think that's the plan.
Sogol: Isn't CBC merging with Evangel and AGTS? I hope the faculty/staff losses aren't too severe.
Yes it is, Sogol. It was voted on last year (very emotional from my perspective). At the end of the day it was a cost-saving issue as much as anything else. To say I was sad (and still am) is an understatement.
Wigglesworth, Lake, and Wooworth-Etter are on my list. I'm not sure what is out there from the controversial and important Branham, but I'll put him on my list.
Branham...controversial...lol..are you telling me you don't agree with his "serpent-seed" theory? (I say ths with as much humour as I can muster...lol)
"The New Wine is Better" by Robert Thom may be a good addition to Vyrso - well, it inspired me years ago!
Great to have you Mr Rich...it will be quite interesting seeing what you can find for us.

Rich, thank you so much for researching and trying to get the "Fire Bible" notes acquired for Logos. This is easily the top resource I want/need. If you guys can make that happen, I'll be indebted to you for life!
Oh, and the "Full Life NT Commentary" was a Zondervan product, if that helps. ISBN 0310201187.
Just about anything from GPH would also be great as far as I'm concerned.
I'd be lying through my teeth if I said anything positive about Branham, so I'll stop now. ;)

LOL, no comment, Mebin.
Gary Osborne:thank you so much for researching and trying to get the "Fire Bible" notes acquired for Logos. This is easily the top resource I want/need. If you guys can make that happen, I'll be indebted to you for life!
I hope we can acquire that, too!
I'll be looking into the Full Life commentary set, as well.
I'll be the first to admit that many of my Pentecostal forbears and Pentecostal brothers and sisters leave me shaking my head. But,. then, they shake their heads at me, too. :)

Sorry for your loss. I fear that many more fine Bible colleges and seminaries will face similar difficult decisions in coming years.

Thanks, Rich. Well, I guess it does make sense to consolidate when you have that much overlap. We can only hope that the combined institution will be stronger and better.
Again, congrats on your new position.
MJ. Smith: Josh:Once again, this is why the author vs author format for March Madness is not ideal. Would you elaborate please? I don't catch your drift
I'm a fan of Logos' old way of doing March Madness....resource vs resource. I believe there are more issues with pairing authors against each other. I understand the "official" story behind why they did it, but it still appears Logos benefits more from this format than the costumer. I want them to switch back.
How about including some journals such as Pneuma and Journal of Pentecostal Theology? Often my research takes me there, but I have no ready access. Thanks!

Those would be great Logos resources, so I cast my vote for both of these as well. And if you wanted to go "Old-School" I'd highly recommend Heritage Magazine and Paraclete (which is a fabulous Academic resource written from a Pentecostal perspective).
I really, really, really want to see if we can get a deal struck with he current rights-holders to Pneuma. My publisher relations specialist has that at the top of her list! I'd also like to talk to the Asia Pacific Theological Seminary folks about their journal as well.
Regards,
Hi, Gary, both Heritage and Paraclete would be excellent, high-quality additions as well. I also want to talk to some other actively published (yet to be named) journals to see if they're willing to talk as well. But I want to make progress on some of the older, defunct, low-hanging fruit before tackling the big asks. :)

Fantastic news, Rich. I hope Logos can acquire these resources!
Any progress on the Fire Bible notes yet? No, I'm not anxious or anything.
