Logos crashes on startup...
Robert - Sorry for your troubles. [:S]
I am not a full fledged techie, and I was unable to understand the problem... hopefully a techie will be by soon. In the meantime, have you tried starting with a blank layout? Press and hold the command key immediately after startup, then check the appropriate box.
Robert it seems to be crashing while trying to load your Home Page. Try opening Logos to a blank layout. Hold down the CMD key while clicking on the Logos 5 icon, and hold the key down until you get a start-up pop-up giving you the option to start Logos from a blank layout.
If you can get into Logos successfully that way, try using some of the tools and guides to see if it crashes. Then try opening the Home Page from within Logos to see if it crashes.
I can't tell what it specifically is crashing on. If the problem continues, someone from Logos will need to help you.
Seems to be crashing in the Search engine. When you start with a blank layout as advised, try a Basic Search. If it crashes post logs again.
I just saw the replies and tried the CMD start up recommended... it stil crashes in the same way.... here are the log files...
Delete the Library index folder /Users/rrnowell/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/s3e6acde.zub/LibraryIndex, restart Logos and hopefully settle back for a couple of hours whilst it indexes.
Robert,
Is Logos working now?
I am having the same problem. It crashes on start up. I have tried the blank layout and I have deleted my Library Index. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 3240.LogosLogs.nathanaelwaites.20130324-003312.zip
I am having the same problem. It crashes on start up.
Prior to this it was crashing with a corrupt history database, so let's try to fix it by deleting the folder
/Users/nathanaelwaites/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/qz2rakd6.nza/HistoryManager
then restart Logos.
If it starts OK go to Tools >> History and Clear history. Otherwise provide logs again.
Thank you! I got it working through following all the instructions here. The last thing I needed to do to get it working was delete the history manager as Dave said. Thank you all so much for your help.
