Verse Artwork

Your artistic rendition of verses is simply fantastic. Can we have more information about the team that does this? Can we get collections of this work as screensavers that periodically change? It would be a great reinforcement of Scripture.

I've been collecting these images from Logos' Facebook feed. Is there a site which shows all these images in one place?

Hi Norman,
I'm not sure where you're seeing the artistic rendering of verses that you are commenting on. Would love to see it. I haven't seen anything like that in the software yet, except the "Interesting Words" graphics which I believe use the wordle technology.
Logos CEO Bob Pritchett just posted this video today on Facebook, done by the "amazing @Logosdesign and video team." So I'm guessing we will be seeing more from them.
Oh, I just googled around and found this on Logos's Facebook page; maybe this is what you were referring to? Very nice! It says the backgrounds were hand-painted and the main text was hand-drawn by their in-house design team. Would love to see some art like this make its way into the Logos app. I'm guessing that will be coming...

Paul, if you're referring to the Resurrection Art verses that I just discovered and mentioned in my last post, they are all collected in one Facebook album:
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151555263564932.1073741825.5881874931
It looks like they only have nine of them so far.
EDIT: I see they have more than nine. The rest are in the Timeline Photos album, intermixed with other images that are not Scripture art:

Those are the ones I was referring to, and there are more awesome images on lots of verses across the OT/NT - Logos has almost been releasing one per day since at least last year, maybe longer? Best way I found to look at them on Facebook was to use the photo feed timeline. I've been using Evernote to collect them since there's a really useful clip feature which allows me to right-click on the high res image and send it straight into Evernote.
[EDIT - Cross-posted with Rosie!]

It would be great to have these in a media resource in Logos and have them come up when you do a Passage Guide that intersects with the verse they are illustrating.

I agree this is a great idea! Each day one of these is posted in the Verse of the Day app that is available (Free) for Win8 in the Microsoft Store. I save a copy of these each day in a folder. I use this folder as the source for the slideshow in my screensaver so that I am randomly seeing these beautiful pieces of truth.Making Disciples! David, I was so pleased also -- because of you -- to install the Logos Verse of the Day to my Windows 8 Pro! Thank you! *smile*

Thanks! I'm glad you like them.
The second point of "The Logos Way" is "Two Birds, One Stone." (The first is "Customers First"!)

We want everything we do to create value in multiple contexts. The Verse of the Day art was originally designed to go here:
http://biblia.com/plugins/VerseOfTheDay
(You can add this to your church website!)
It also appears if you happen to link in to a reference for which we have art:
http://biblia.com/bible/esv/1Co10.17
Then we built a Windows 8 app that will show you the art each day, and which can also make it the lock screen for your Windows 8 computer:
http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/app/verse-of-the-day/cb3a23bd-c12a-4e15-b7fa-322b2e5b1236
If you use Proclaim, you'll find the verse slides available as media you can add to a presentation.
In the not-too-distant future we'll have a way you can download a large set of the art for use on a digital photo frame, screensaver, etc. (I put dozens into a folder with family photos and they rotate through our digital photo frame -- it's great!)
We have two years worth of verses planned, and we are building the art as we go; we just wanted to wait until we had more of it before releasing it in big collections.
We're also experimenting with ways to re-purpose our investment in creative ways. We may have Proclaim sermon series backgrounds available using the art developed for a particular verse. We're experimenting with animated versions of single verse slides as well as extending animations to longer passages (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ech60wu7YBI). Feel free to tweet / like / share this John 1:1-5 animation!
If you promise not to share these still-draft-prototypes, not ready for public release, you can see prototypes of a simpler:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IILBD80ItXI&feature=youtu.be
and more complicated:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a63pCwSTDjE&feature=youtu.be
animation of existing single-verse slides.
What do you think? Should we do more of some/all of these formats?
All of the Verse of the Day art is done by our in house design team; many different artists take turns creating the art, and the process involves collaboration and constructive feedback from multiple team members.
Look for the Verse of the Day art to become an optional component of your Home Page in Logos 5... and for some other uses I can't talk about yet! :-)

I'm still hoping (with a touch of desperation) to see these make it onto my Android lock screen and desktop (as a widget). Don't know how well they'd scale but it'd be awesome to have my phone and tablet declaring for the Lord when turned the on they way my desktop and tablet PC do, big and bold! I love it!
