After watching John Fidel's latest video, I can't wait for the next Logos 4 release--I covet that Beta!  But I don't find anything on the logos website about beta testing for Logos 4.  Is the current beta available to anyone?  If so, would someone please post a link?

Scroll to the bottom of the Logos 4 forum and you will see a subforum for the PC Beta. There you will find release notes and other info about the Beta and you can post bug reports etc.

Please read this thread before installing (though we are on Beta4 now).

Mary-Elen, before you install it though, please be aware that Beta software can have bugs that hamper your ability to do work.  You must use it at your own risk.

Thanks for all the input!  If I install the Beta now, will I have to do anything extra to get the final 4.0a release, or will it automatically update?

That's a really good question.  I don't know.  Right now there are two update paths.

The Gold release is currently at SR7 (service release 7) and it will continue to be automatically updated all the way to 4.0a.

The Beta release is currently on B4 and will continue to automatically update the beta's.  I would bet however that at the last it will also update automatically to 4.0a.

Logos advice is dont install if you are only running one machine, as things may change, and you may lose all data (accidentally of course), beta participation is purely at your own risk...

That's a beautiful diagram. (though why does b1 connect to SR4?)

Because I couldn't remember when β1 came out.  I thought it came out of sr4, but perhaps it was sr7.  I don't know.  Now that I think of it it probably came from SR7.
