Why not move the "words of Christ" option out of program settings and into visual filters, where it more naturally belongs. Advantages: (1) It makes program settings smaller, (2) It can be turned on/off per resource.
I like this suggestion.
+1
(even though I'm after a much bigger Program Settings panel with lots more choices)
So am I, but I'm pretty sure that something that makes it smaller will catch Bob's eye!

Oh should we delete these last few posts....
Yes please!
Great idea! [Y]
I don't mind it as a Visual Filter but it should be left as a Setting for those bibles that incorporate WOC highlighting ie. you can switch it off and use the WOC Filter in any bible. But what version of Words of Christ do you want for the filter? eg. NIV differs from ESV, HCSB in Acts 10:13, 15; 11:7, 9.
Can you still do a WOC: search like you could in logos 3? I tried it the other day in logos4 and it didn't bring up any results. Any suggestions? Is this a bug?

And some might want the Jesus Seminar version of WOC, which would leave most of the text black. [;)]
[Joke. For those who don't know what it is, the Jesus Seminar is a group of scholars who vote on whether or not they think certain words attributed to Christ are authentic; they end up throwing a lot of it out.]
Ryan,
Check out the Search Fields and Search Basics on the wiki.logos.com/FAQ site.
The format for a WOC search in L4 is words-of-christ:example
Chris

That also reminded me that a universal WOC filter would only highlight the verses in which WOC appear. If the intention was to use the Filter only for bibles in which the actual words of Christ are tagged (metadata) then the implementation is much easier.
Visual filters work by querying the underlying resource. So if I do a morphological filter, it will display differently in versions that have different morphological tagging. A WOC visual filter would work no differently. Nothing would change other than the method used to turn the feature on/off, and the ability to have different on/off settings for different resources.
I concur!
