When I tried to open Logos this morning, I got this message:

"An update is required. Some of your resources and documents are not compatible with this version. To continue using Logos Bible Software, upgrade to version 5.1 or later"

A link then follows to http://www.logos.com/installation

I then download and run the LogosSetup.exe, which concludes within a few seconds with a pop up with this message:

"Logos Bible Software 5 is up-to-date"

But when I then try to open Logos, I get the same message I reported at the beginning of this post.

Suggestions?  Logos.log file attached if that helps.

Andrew, before today's trouble did you previously try to update Logos to version 5.1? The log file shows the following error:

Current assembly version is '5.0.2.0755'; previously-run assembly version was '5.1.0.0943' (5.1); aborting launch.

I suspect to get around this you will need to uninstall Logos 5.0b SR-4 and reinstall Logos 5.1 directly from the installer.

To avoid having to download your resources, you can use Method Two or Method Three found here: http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers

It sounds like the file you downloaded was an older installer. The link on that page should be good, but here's a direct link to try, just in case there was a problem with it:

https://s3.amazonaws.com/downloads.logos.com/LBS5/Installer/5.1.0.0943/LogosSetup.exe

Also, please first delete any existing "LogosSetup.exe" files in your Downloads folder, to make sure you're getting the latest copy.

Thanks for the help.  Reinstalled using Method 2 to avoid resource redownload, and now seems to be operating fine again.
