Woops - Indexer crash

Just download an update and a heap of resources and straight awy I get an repeatable indexer crash. Logos proceeds to load up, but it clearly hasn't indexed the now content and I don't know what to do. Won't led me issue a "rebuild index" command either.5483.Logos Log Files.zip

That won't help as the issue is connected with the Library Catalog. You should wait for a response from a Logos Tech or contact Logos Technical Support direct.

Please find and delete the following file:

C:\Documents and Settings\Ken Neighoff\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4\Data\jkzevbcg.0rs\ResourceManager\Resources\MISSROMANUMETT.logos4

There was a problem in an earlier version of this resource, which could cause the crash you're seeing. It's possible that for some reason, your system didn't download the latest file.

If, after deleting this file, your system runs correctly, you should be able to run "update resources" to download the latest version.

Bradley, deleting that file may or may not be the solution to Kenneth's problem, but it is not a solution for mine. It does not exist in my resources folder. This indexer problem seems to be popping up as a problem for a number of users.

We've identified another series of resources (that only cause problems for 4.6c, not 5.1) and will be fixing them shortly. In the meantime, please delete any WRKSARISTOTLE*.logos4 files you have in your "ResourceManager\Resources" folder.

That solution appeared to nail it, Bradley. I deleted all 12 Works of Aristotle files and started the program successfully. Logos4 is now doing what is seems to enjoy doing most - busily indexing my 4000 volume library! Thanks.

How do I delete the above file you mentioned, when I don't have it?

I also see you mentioned below this post to delete the works of Aristotle. The file name is showing in my resource folder, but the resource cannot be found in the library.

I will see if this solves the problem for me.

I deleted the works of Aristotle from the resource folder.

Restarted Logos 4

I get a message telling me about 10 mb is ready to download. I restart Logos 4 and then indexer crash error again.

The file names for the works of Aristotle appear in the resource folder, but nothing about them appear in the library or on the homepage about resources being updated.

I am going to delete the 12 files again and wait until I hear what to do from you.

Yes, 4.6c SR-3 was released to address this specific issue.

If anyone reading this thread had deleted resource files, and has now installed 4.6c SR-3, run "update resources" to force the Works of Aristotle to re-download.
