Topic guide not working

Hi there,

I downloaded logos 5 and purchased the minimum crossgrade only to find the topic guide is not working. I am a new Logos user so there might be something something simple I am missing. Am i correct in thinking that the topic guide should also search my resources that I brought into personal books?

    Welcome Mike,

    The Logos 5 minimal crossgrade won't assist you with Topic Guide. It needs the Logos Controlled Vocabulary (LCV) database which comes with Logos 4 & Logos 5 base packages and Logos 4 minimal crossgrade but also needs some of the “Bible Reference” resources included in base packages that are also tagged for the LCV (enter type:encyclopedia in Library Find box to see what you have).

    If you have zero resources in the Definition section, however, you can create a Collection with type:encyclopedia as the rule and include it in the Collections section.

    Check if you have the database LCV.lbslcv by going to Help >> About Logos ... and looking for Topic Guide in the scrollable list on the left.

    EDIT:

    Personal Books compiled as type Encyclopedia won't qualify for the Definition section.

    Thanks Dave, I'll look into options that have the LCV included.
