Ben, type "Update Now" in the Command Bar (without the quote marks) and hit enter. This should cause Logos to look online for missing data. Some databases were updated to work in 5.2 and would need to download after 5.2 is installed. If you are on the Internet that should happen without you doing anything. Never-the-less you can still do Update Now.
offline updated to 5.2, but something loss.

my internet so very sowly, 0.1k/s.
if I direct the update file, is 5k/s, so usually, I can update the program from the direct download point.
but I can not update BSL and Timeline files, because I don't known where I can easy download point.
so the totally problem is my internet very slowly.
Thanks for your concern.

I have had this exact same thing happen.
I have a theory that another component of this is that when Logos is struggling to talk to amazon web services, this is the cause of it consuming a lot of the CPU. I suggest that the devs test Logos under conditions where it can connect to the internet, but it cannot perform all the underlying functions that it needs to work in the cloud. Does Logos just keep trying and wind itself up? Or can it give an error message and give up? (or something of the sort)
Also, I have seen Logos crash more than once when taking a very long time to populate the home page. It just seems Logos is not very robust when it comes to poor internet connections. I would like to continue to stress that there are a number of Christian aid workers, Bible Translators, missionaries etc. that work on less than ideal internet connections. A concern that I have is that testing of Logos is done with the assumption that the connection is clean and stable.
An answer for us in these situations is to run Logos in offline mode. Yet with no error feedback, it is hard to know when it is something associated with a less than ideal internet connection or something else that could be fixed. We need some error code or whatever to help us know the underlying problem.
