HI all,

I was going through the videos, and I came across this search (See image below). It has terms that are no longer in 4.0a (Clause component, head term, word group) - it looks like Logos simplified the query builder but now I don't know how to follow thie video! How do I do this search in 4.0a? It's basically a simplistic example looking for "what will Jesus do in the future".  It is a search for "Jesus" or "lord" as subject of a clause, with the predicate of the clause which is future tense and active voice. Can you past an image of the answer?

Thanks!

Keep in mind that OpenText and Cascadia have different terminology. I suggest that you read the glossaries for both syntax databases to help you get your mind wrapped around them.

Dom,

your search was a good one....with a few tweaks....

see the screenshot..you have to check "matching skips levels" on a few of the terms...

1.) clause components

2.) Word groups

3.) Words

Hi Robert,

Thanks again for your help. One question, where are the qualifiers for Word (Case, part-of-speech, Tense, Voice)? I could only find Lemma!

Doh!  Just like a morph search. Didn't think of that. I am getting used to L4, too slowly at times!

Thanks for your help.
