I have the Massorah Gedolah and I would like to prioritize a Hebrew bible to respond to the hyperlinks in the text. Is there a way to do this, using perhaps the advanced settings feature?

Edit: Clarifying point; preferably I don't want to change my prefered bible if this is at all possible.

Perhaps a graphic will help make my case. Here is my study layout:

Now here is the behavior with BHW prioritized. The LHS is fine. But, I would like the RHS OT pop-ups to reference the ESV.

Note the behavior below. The only way to do what I want is the inelegant juggling of alternating top prioritization of Hebrew and English bibles; surely there should be a better way.

See below for present behavior leaving the Hebrew bible as the top prioritized bible. I'm Sad [:(]

I hope the above clarifies my question. If there presently is no way to accomplish this I suggest that advanced prioritization be adapted to perform this task.

    Yes.

Drag the LHB or BHW418 to the top of the prioritisation list (above your preferred Bible).

Right-click it and choose "Set prioritization limits (advanced)".

In the "from this resource" drop-down, enter Massorah Gedolah. Now, only links from Massorah Gedolah will be affected by this rule, and they will hover/open your Hebrew Bible of choice.

Bradley, I love you. I've waited all night for this answer I even spoke to one of your fellow employees. Thanks so much! Happy again[:D]

EDIT: Actually, I almost got it right on my own. Why doesn't it work if you have the BHW anywhere else in the list and do everything else you describe? I tried this and it didn't work.[:^)]

Beloved ... the algorythm searches downward in your priority list. If your special BHS is further down, then the Massorah popup finds your ESV (as an example) first, before getting to the BHS.

Tried to answer your thread a good portion of the evening but the Logos server kept loosing contact (according to all my browsers anyway). Happy to see Bradley helped out (as usual!!).

As Denise said, the program goes through the prioritisation list from top to bottom. As soon as it finds a resource that can handle the link you're hovering/clicking, it stops. So if the ESV (for example) is at the top of the list, with no advanced limits, any OT or NT reference will match and open the ESV.

By putting the "from this resource = Massorah Gedolah" rule at the top, it gets the first chance at any links, but only applies if you're in that resource. Otherwise, your remaining rules are applied as usual.

The lesson is: any prioritised resources with advanced limits should be placed above any resources (that can handle the same references) that don't have limits (otherwise they won't get a chance at handling links).
