After i upgraded to Logos 5, I began to notice that the notes that I had created in earlier versions are now showing up in strange places. For example, my notes on Gen.39 are now tagged in Exodus 10. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks!
Can you give us a screen prints of this issue. thanks
Here you go. As you can see, the note should be tagged for Gen.39:6, but it has moved to Ex.10:5. Some highlights or notes start in the middle of a word. All these highlights and notes should be in Genesis. Thanks for any help you can give!
I think your bible index might be corrupted... If no one comes along before you go to bed, try the command rebuild bible index before you snooze.
Are these ONLY in this bible? Are these notes attached by "selection" or by "reference"? I think your bible index might be corrupted... If no one comes along before you go to bed, try the command rebuild bible index before you snooze.
By reference, and I haven't come across the problem anywhere else. I will try rebuilding. Thanks!
The problem appears on my desktop, laptop, and my iPad, if that adds anything to the discussion.
Sean, you are not alone. I have the same problem. The notes which are in the wrong place are not that numerous and sometime are only a block of notes from one note file.
I've been watching to see if anyone else experiences this problem -- and for a solution short of redoing the errant notes.
Well, I rebuilt the Bible on my laptop, and the problem still persists. Unfortunately, a lot of these are note that I have filed as "General" (stuff I came across while reading that I didn't create a specific note file for), and so there are a LOT of them. If I have time tonight I may try to go through some of them and see if the problem exists across the whole spectrum of notes in the file, or is limited to a small selection of them. This is a bummer!
I've sent a note to Logos asking someone to look at this thread. Please don't try to fix the problem until they've had a chance to see it because they'll likely need to take a look at the files. And, yes, they will not invade your privacy and do anything without asking.
Sean, Did you you import these notes from Libronix DLS? If so have you modified any of those note documents since then?
Thanks for stepping in Tommy. This one needed Logos experts not my guesses.
Its been awhile, but i did create a lot of these during the Libronix days, so I'm thinking yes. I have not modified them since.

The problem is probably stemming from not using the tool that fixed the notes from Libronix DLS for import into Logos 4/5. What we want to do is reverse the import of your notes, go back and install and run the tool in Libronix that will fix the notes, and then re-import them.
