I am using Logos 5 on a Samsung Galaxy 3 tablet. I do my daily readings on my PC laptop and want to be able to access this on my tablet. How do I organize this?

To clarify - the tablet runs a different application, one developed for use on Android devices.

This is relevant when thinking about differences in functionality and appearance

They should appear automatically, as "Today's Readings" on the home page of the app. They should also sync with where you are on the PC.

Are you not seeing these?

Thanks, Graham. I thought I was doing something wrong, because, although the daily readings are on the home page, I have read ahead on my pc but I only get 'Today's Readings' and not the up to date reading.

Hi Paul

Paul Grieve:
although the daily readings are on the home page, I have read ahead on my pc but I only get 'Today's Readings' and not the up to date reading.

I think I understand and - if so - I agree that this is strange.

The way daily readings are displayed on the mobile devices (both Android and iPad) doesn't update to show the next one until it is due.

So, for example, I read a Bible passage from a Reading Plan this morning and marked it off in the plan but it is still saying as this morning's reading on my Android phone. There isn't a blue dot to the left of the book to show that the reading is due - so I know it has been read - but it hasn't been updated to show the next reading. It would be tomorrow.

Is this consistent with what you are seeing?

I have suggested that this behaviour be changed but it is what it is at the moment.

Graham

Thanks again, Graham. Yes, this is exactly what is happening. I thought that the updated readings from the pc would be shown when everything synched. Pity! I often read ahead because there are times when I know I will get behind due to pressure of work, so in this way I keep on track.

Thank you for replying.

God bless.

I've had the same problem- and more irritatingly, I also can't mark a reading as completed on my Android (Nook).  So the only way to continue my reading plan is to mark it done on my PC.

Thanks, Katie, for your comments. I also cannot mark the reading as being completed on my Android. This means that there is really no effective syncing.

I had a similar problem that was fixed by uninstalling and then reinstalling the Android app.  You may want to try that, but realize it will require you to redownload your resources after reinstalling the app.

Thanks, MD. Maybe I'll try that when I have some spare bandwidth. I'm working on a rather restrictive cap in Africa.

This is a known issue and we hope to get it fixed before the next stable release.
