Reading Plan Synchronization frustration

Hello. Can someone help me get my reading plan synchronized? When I open the Reading Plan calendar looking window it shows my reading up to date. But when I open the Reading plan under the saved layouts it opens to several days behind. I have clicked on the synchronize arrows numerous times to see if that would shift the reading forward. I have also clicked on the Update Active Layout item to see if that works. So far nothing has worked.
BTW this is logos 5 with a Windows 8 os.

Ahem. (Sorry, but I'm going to explain something to you and rant to Logos a little [again] bout a pet peeve of mine). [:P]
Logos choose a bad term when they named their feature "saved layouts." The current implementation is a snapshot. It is a piece of history. When you open your "saved layout," it does exactly what you asked it to... It opens back up to where you saved it "the layout" last. When you "sync," you are syncing the "layout."
What you are wanting to do, Logos hasn't provided the ability to do. You are expecting the RESOURCE to sync it's location within the "layout." It doesn't work that way. A user can do what you are wanting ONLY if they religiously use the SAME layout for reading and SAVE it each time. Otherwise, you will be opening back up the OLD version of "the layout."
The term "layout" should be reserved for "a pattern of tiles within the windowed application." Logos should add a feature called "projects," which would be layout agnostic. A "project" would ALWAYS sync location data. In this case, you would create a reading plan "project," and your bible would open up to the right place. The "layout" you choose for the project, would potentially be different on your iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and iMac. After all, I NEVER use two panels on my iPhone. I occasionally use two on my iPad. I always use two main ones and a skinny one on my MacBook. And my iMac might have six or more!
<end rant (for now)>
I think you just need to make sure to remember to save your layout every time you close it or open another one. [;)]

Thank you. This completely solved my problem and explained the cause. And I completely agree with you that what I really want (a true synch feature) isn't in the software. To any Logos designers out there - it would be so sweet to have a feature which would truly save (in fact an auto-save would be even better) the place I am reading so that whether I reopen in Biblia, on my computer, or on any other linked device I could immediately return.
