Vote for Bonhoeffer!

Dietrich Bonhoeffer is probably the the most famous 20th century theologian with the general public, but for better or worse, is more famous for his life than his theology. And his theology is more interesting than many presentations of it. I know that when I was introduced to him by Robinson's Honest to God, that it missed many points and was almost certainly a misreading of him...

The resources that Logos offers are the extensively annotated new editions - editions that place him into his time, referencing the books he had in his library, and the theological discussions of his era. And they attempt to translate his terminology consistently. And so they offer quite valuable aids to understanding him today, since none of us are German theologians of the 1930's and 1940's.

Technically I agree with what you are saying but I would advise not to call any Canadian an "American". Also, ask almost any person who lives in the United States if someone who lives in Canada is an "American" and see what they say.

Well it's easy to see that people are spending lots of time multiple voting.

Carson's lead is insurmountable, so no the multiple voters aren't even trying on that one. The Bonhoeffer matchup with Lloyd has about 500 extra votes than any of the other matchups.

So it will come down to who has more time on their hands to continue to vote, and refresh and vote again, etc.

Also ask any Canadian whether they are an American and see what they say. Canadians are North Americans for sure, but they don't like to be confused for Americans of the US variety, so they tend to avoid that terminology. Jack is the only exception I know of. (Jack, are you a transplant from the US, or a native Canadian? You seem to over-emphasize the "eh" thing in a way that a born Canadian wouldn't.)

I think someone proved that a Bonhoeffer/Wright supporter most certainly could stuff the ballot box as well as anyone else - except they went so overboard it got crazy and got caught.

I was actually pleasantly surprised at how well he did, but the results show how the voters are still dominated by Anglo-American Evangelicalism...

Anyway, grabbed Discipleship already. Am sure I will pick up something else too...
