How can I get these titles onto my Laptop?
There's a similar issue here:
http://community.logos.com/forums/t/8173.aspx
If this is the same issue as the brother in the other thread, there could be an issue with the Logos server not properly downloading some licenses. Hopefully a Logos tech will see this and check.
But try typing update resources in the command bar, and see if it finds them.
If not, please report back and we'll see if we can get someone in Bellingham to look into the data base issue.
In the meantime try this in the Command bar:-
putting the missing resources into a removable drive is one way to do this.
If they are picked up then it is not a licence issue!
I tried the "update resources" in the command bar. When I hovered over the Sync symbol, I got a message: Synchronization is enabled, and all items are up to date. I checked the Library and still have the 1404 titles. I sent an email yesterday to LOGOS outlining the problem and what I have tried.
Thanks for your suggestion.
James - I have the same or a similar problem. I tried the suggested steps unsuccessfully. Please post back when you get an answer. Thanks!
James,
I have the same issue - did you ever find a solution?

James that "sync" does NOT refer to resources -- it is an unfortunate "double use" of the term within Logos.
the "syching arrows" deal with 'user" generated materials ie. bookmarks, favorites, layout etc NOT your "book" resources.
Someone else will need to chime in with more suggestions.
Did you understand what Daves "Command Line" "sync" meant? It refers to pasting/typing in the exact path to where those "missing" books are actually located.
Regards
Steve
My problem is not exactly the same as yours. I have 2 laptops with the same number of resources, but I now see I am missing some of the resources you mentioned. I have Platinum as well, and am missing some of the resources which I should have according to the Logos upgrade page. Could it be that some of these books are not ready yet??
Missing books include: Open Door on John, Open Door on Mark, 131 Christians, Church Admin, Discovering John.

Check out this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/8824.aspx
I installed Logos 4 by downloading it. There were some books missing in the install that were on the DVD that I ordered. Scanning the DVD added the missing books, as indicated in the thread that Brent pointed to. I wonder if everyone that installed Logos 4 by download came up a few (or more) books short, depending on the base package you ordered or upgraded to?
These are all available in my Silver library. I suggest you contact Customer Support.
I emailed Logos describing this issue. I also provided them a link to this and the other thread where others are having issues. Hopefully they can figure out why the Internet-based install is skipping resources for some people.
HURRAH! - I fixed the problem with my missing titles on my laptop!
I got to thinking about my history of upgrades, etc. I started in July, 2008 with LOGOS 3 Bible Study Library and added various titles as I could. In June, 2009 I attended a Morris Proctor seminar and updated to LOGOS 3 Silver (dvd). In November, 2009 I upgraded to LOGOS 4 Silver (download). I had them send a dvd installation disk, as well. In December, 2009 I upgraded to LOGOS 4 Platinum (download).
The laptop I used for the MP Seminar is below the minimum for LOGOS 4, so I bought a new laptop with much more capability. First, I installed LOGOS 3, then the LOGOS 4 Platinum (download, I think). I syncronized the systems. Later, I compared the Libraries and found that the laptop had 14 titles missing that were on my desktop. A list of the missing titles is on an earlier post. They are all listed as "new" titles.
LOGOS support had me delete the DownloadManager data base file (6.00); ResourceManager data base file (484KB); and Updates data base file (700KB) and to download the LOGOS 4 again. I, again, had the same number of titles on the laptop (14 short).
Last night, I tried something different. I placed the LOGOS 4 silver installation disk in the laptop. LOGOS 4 came up and got a message that it was "building my Library" It then went into indexing. When this was completed, I checked my Library on the laptop and found that my missing titles are there!
Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions and comments.
I'm pleased for you!
We shouldn't have to purchase the DVD for "missing" resources. If they are downloadable on one system they should be downloadable on another, irrespective of the presence of L3 (except for Logos 2.x files).
My policy is always to download on one system, maintain a copy of its resources on a removable drive, then use the scan command to update resources on my other system (see Method 3 http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers to apply this to a new installation). The scan command is able to equalize two systems!
